El líder gremial sostuvo en la víspera una reunión de trabajo con el jefe de esa institución, Miguel Quevedo, en la que resaltó su labor y pidió que mantenga su carácter técnico, que siga levantando los requisitos sanitarios y fitosanitarios de los diferentes mercados y preserve la inocuidad de las importaciones y exportaciones.
“Es primordial que tenga una eficiente infraestructura descentralizada y que siga mejorando sus servicios en los puertos, aeropuertos y centros de atención fronterizo. Todo ello se logrará con la ampliación de su presupuesto”, comentó.
El contexto internacional está en un cambio constante –añadió Pérez–, los gobiernos protegen a sus consumidores por lo que el trabajo de Senasa será fundamental para que Perú siga siendo la despensa del mundo. El país necesita una entidad sanitaria fuerte, con un presupuesto que responda a sus múltiples tareas.
Añadió que Senasa fue pieza clave en el incremento de las agroexportaciones (tradicionales y no tradicionales) que el año pasado cerraron en US$ 8 mil 842 millones (incremento de 19% respecto al 2020), y en la capitalización de los acuerdos comerciales vigentes.
AGENDA
En la reunión, ADEX planteó la constitución de una Mesa de Inocuidad a fin de abordar los métodos de control del uso de pesticidas (Clorpirifós y Glifosato), sobre los cuales pidió ejercer un mayor control.
“La inocuidad de nuestra oferta es crucial, por ello se necesita incidir en la capacitación de los integrantes de las diversas cadenas productivas para que usen agroquímicos de forma apropiada”, añadió Pérez.
También solicitó el monitoreo y control de la presencia de metales pesados en los alimentos ya sea en el suelo o en los fertilizantes, la presencia de fumonisina en el maíz morado y los planes de monitoreo de los capsicum/paprika (pesticidas, Ocratoxina y Aflatoxina).
Asimismo, obtener el acceso efectivo de los productos nacionales en los mercados con los cuales Perú tiene TLCs. Se logrará con un trabajo ordenado con Senasa de tal manera que se puedan cumplir con las certificaciones, protocolos y requisitos técnicos.
EL DATO
Con Brasil está pendiente el protocolo sanitario del Wax Flower (variedad de flor); con Ecuador los requisitos que facilitarán el ingreso de la uva nacional, y el arroz (el proceso ya se inició y está en manos de Agrocalidad); y con China la castaña amazónica.
