Hasta el 15 de septiembre de 2022 está abierta la convocatoria para inscribirse a participar del Premio “Por las Mujeres en la Ciencia” que promueve L’Oréal en alianza con UNESCO y con la colaboración de Prociencia, Concytec y la Academia Nacional de Ciencias.
A la convocatoria podrán postular investigadoras e investigadoras postdoctorales que lleven a cabo trabajos científicos en el área de ciencias. El premio distingue la excelencia científica, promueve la participación de mujeres en el campo científico y contribuye en disminuir la brecha de género en el mismo.
Los proyectos a ser presentados deben estar en el marco de las ciencias de la materia en alguna o varias de las siguientes áreas o disciplinas: ciencias exactas y naturales: ciencias químicas; física, astronomía; matemática y computación; ciencias de la tierra, del agua y de la atmósfera; ciencias agrarias, de la ingeniería y de materiales; ciencias ambientales; hábitat y diseño, informática, ingeniería civil, eléctrica mecánica, entre otras. Los proyectos presentados serán evaluados por un comité de reconocidos especialistas y un jurado calificador elegirá a las ganadoras.
Sobre el premio a nivel global: más de 3,600 exalumnas, 117 laureadas, 3,500 jóvenes talentos, 110 países participantes, 500 expertos científicos y 50 instituciones científicas involucradas.
Desde 1998 la iniciativa L’Oréal – UNESCO “Por las Mujeres en la Ciencia” ha trabajado para empoderar a más mujeres científicas para que superen las barreras de la progresión y participen en la resolución de los grandes retos de nuestro tiempo. Aún existen muchas barreras en la ciencia; tan solo el 14% de los puestos académicos más altos en Europa están ocupados por mujeres. A nivel mundial, solo el 33% de los investigadores actuales son mujeres, menos del 4% de los premios Nobel por avances científicos han sido concedidos a mujeres.
El mundo de la investigación debe integrar el punto de vista de las mujeres para crear innovaciones eficaces y luchar contra la discriminación de género, porque el mundo necesita de la ciencia y la ciencia de las mujeres.

Concytec launches a call for a contest for 10 scholarships in research projects “For Women in Science”.
