EsSalud: El 60% de parejas que entra a consulta por infidelidad decide continuar con la relación, el número de casos se incrementaron durante la pandemia.

El doctor Jeff Huarcaya, médico psiquiatra del referido nosocomio, define la infidelidad como el hecho de involucrarse sentimental o físicamente con otra persona que no es su pareja.

Anotó que, según datos del registro civil en el país, del 2020 al 2021 se han incrementado en 77% los casos de divorcio, siendo la principal causa la infidelidad. “De 100 personas que han sufrido una infidelidad, el 60% persiste en seguir con la relación”, advirtió.

“Es preocupante, que pese a las atenciones que le brindamos, algunos deciden ya no asistir y seguir con su relación que en verdad se vuelve tóxica y no es nada sano”, indicó.

El especialista sostuvo que, si una persona víctima de la infidelidad decide continuar con la relación, es importante que tenga en cuenta lo siguiente:

“Primero debe establecer límites claros. Segundo, qué está dispuesto a hacer mi pareja. También preguntarse cómo era la relación antes de la infidelidad y lo más esencial, sé sincero (a) contigo mismo (a) y pregúntate ¿vale la pena continuar en una relación de estas características?”, apuntó

RECOMENDACIONES
El doctor Jeff Huarcaya recomendó establecer una comunicación directa y asertiva, reconocer las necesidades y el sentir de la pareja, evaluar si la persona cumple con todas las expectativas que requiere el otro y de no ser así, tener la capacidad de terminar la relación o trabajar juntos en construir principios basados en la equidad y el amor que permitirán una relación saludable.

Manifestó que la persona que ha cometido un acto de infidelidad y tiene un cambio positivo con respecto a su pareja, debe mantener una conducta adecuada a lo largo del tiempo y no de manera momentánea en búsqueda del perdón, ya que la resolución del conflicto debe permitir construir acuerdos sinceros que generen satisfacción y beneficios para ambos.

En ese sentido, el psiquiatra apuntó que se debe realizar un autoanálisis que ayudará en gran medida a establecer indicadores que permitan darnos cuenta de si se debe continuar con una relación de semejantes características.

“Es importante evaluar la relación previa al acto de infidelidad, y reconocer si era problemático (a), difícil, conflictivo (a) o violento (a)”, expresó.
