“Nuestra meta de gobierno es llevar salud de calidad a los rincones más recónditos del país, no es una tarea fácil. Debido de tantos años de abandono del sistema de salud pública, más de 230 000 compatriotas perdieron la vida por la pandemia de la COVID-19, pero lo vamos a superar; vendrán otras pandemias y tenemos que estar totalmente preparados”, enfatizó en la sede del Instituto Nacional de Salud, en Chorrillos.

El mandatario indicó que los vehículos corresponden a una donación de 900 millones de yenes realizada por el Gobierno del Japón al Perú. Además, dijo que son unidades tipo II que facilitan el transporte asistido de pacientes en estado crítico gracias a su capacidad de asistencia médica.

“En nombre del pueblo peruano, agradezco profundamente al Gobierno de Japón por la donación que permitido la adquisición de 95 ambulancias. De estas unidades, 30 ya se encuentran a disposición del Ministerio de Salud y nos complace hacer la entrega de 18 nuevas ambulancias más”, subrayó.

Cabe precisar que dicho lote de ambulancias permitirá el fortalecimiento del Primer Nivel de Atención (PNA) en Lima, a través de una mayor respuesta del sistema de referencia y contrarreferencias de los establecimientos de salud de la capital.

Las 18 ambulancias serán distribuidas de la siguiente manera: 4 a la DIRIS Centro, 5 a DIRIS Norte, 3 a DIRIS Sur y 5 a DIRIS Este. Además, una unidad se destinará al SAMU.

En ese sentido, se fortalecerá la capacidad de respuesta hospitalaria en el Centro Materno Infantil de Surquillo, el Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, el Instituto Nacional Materno Perinatal y el Instituto Nacional de Salud del Niño en Breña.

Además, en el Centro Materno Infantil Los Sureños (Puente Piedra), Centro Materno Infantil Tahuantinsuyo Bajo (Comas), Centro Materno Infantil México (San Martín De Porres), Hospital Nacional Sergio Bernales (Comas) y Hospital Carlos Lanfranco La Hoz (Puente Piedra)

Asimismo, en el Centro Materno Infantil Tablada de Lurín, Centro de Salud Juan Pablo II (Villa El Salvador), Centro de Emergencias San Pedro de Chorrillos, Centro Materno Infantil San Fernando (El Agustino), Centro Materno Infantil Miguel Grau (Chaclacayo), Centro Materno Infantil Santa Anita, Hospital de mediana complejidad José Agurto Tello (Chosica) y Hospital de mediana complejidad de Huaycán.

De otro lado, el presidente Castillo adelantó que el Ejecutivo, a través del Ministerio de Salud (MINSA), gestionará convenios para la adquisición de nuevas ambulancias en favor de los gobiernos regionales.

En la ceremonia de entrega participaron el ministro de Salud, Jorge López Peña; el Viceministro de Prestaciones y Aseguramiento en Salud, Juan Carlos Delgado Echevarría; y el Embajador Extraordinario y Plenipotenciario de Japón en el Perú, Kazuyuki Katayama.
