El presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo Terrones, se reunió hoy con inversores y representantes de empresas agrupadas en la American Society Council of Americas (AS/COA) y los exhortó a invertir en el Perú, sin ningún tipo de desconfianza; en ese sentido dialogo con la presidenta de dicha entidad Susan Segal, y representantes de empresas.

“En el espacio político somos sumamente respetuosos de la vida democrática. Les pedimos a los empresarios que nos acompañen a seguir conduciendo el destino de nuestro país, para darle estabilidad y garantía a las inversiones nacionales y extranjeras, sin ningún tipo de desconfianza”, aseveró.

En otro momento, dijo que el gobierno está convencido de que se tiene que trabajar con la entidad privada para sacar adelante los grandes desafíos del país.

“Hoy es necesario construir una sociedad igualitaria y justa, sobre todo en el espacio andino y amazónico, quienes necesitan la presencia del Estado, pero no lo puede hacer solo. Estamos convencidos de que lo tenemos que hacer en conjunto con la entidad privada”, manifestó durante el encuentro llevado a cabo en la sede de la AS/COA.

Afirmó que luego de un año de gobierno, los temores de ser un régimen enemigo de las inversiones se han disipado, por lo que exhortó a los empresarios e inversores a apostar por el Perú.

“Según el Banco Mundial somos una economía que desde más de 20 años tiene un crecimiento importante en América Latina, pero al mismo tiempo tenemos una sociedad que está fracturada por la desigualdad social; debemos trabajar en conjunto para revertir este escenario”, enfatizó.

De otro lado, el mandatario aseveró que el gobierno trabaja para elevar los niveles de conectividad, a fin de que más familias tengan acceso a internet de calidad que les permitan integrarse al desarrollo.

Sostuvo que su gobierno es respetuoso de la independencia de poderes y de las inversiones nacionales e internacionales, las cuales son importantes para la estabilidad del país.

En otro momento, pidió a la clase empresarial luchar frontalmente contra la corrupción, flagelo que debe erradicarse para que las próximas generaciones vean que todas las cosas deben hacerse con transparencia y no perjudicar a la ciudadanía.

“Hemos encontrado ex autoridades prófugas y tras las rejas. Por eso es importante invertir en la educación de las nuevas generaciones para hacer las cosas con transparencia”, puntualizó.

El AS/COA es una organización empresarial internacional que agrupa a más de 200 importantes firmas e inversiones en América Latina (Google, Microsoft, Citi Group, Pfizer, entre otros).

“In the political space we are extremely respectful of democratic life. We ask businessmen to accompany us to continue leading the destiny of our country, to give stability and guarantee to national and foreign investments, without any type of mistrust”, he asserted.

At another point, he said that the government is convinced that it has to work with the private entity to carry out the great challenges of the country.

“Today it is necessary to build an egalitarian and fair society, especially in the Andean and Amazonian space, who need the presence of the State, but cannot do it alone. We are convinced that we have to do it together with the private entity”, he stated during the meeting held at the AS/COA headquarters.

He affirmed that after a year of government, the fears of being an enemy regime of investments have dissipated, for which he exhorted businessmen and investors to bet on Peru.

“According to the World Bank, we are an economy that has had significant growth in Latin America for more than 20 years, but at the same time we have a society that is fractured by social inequality; We must work together to reverse this scenario,” he emphasized.

On the other hand, the president asserted that the government is working to raise connectivity levels, so that more families have access to quality internet that allows them to integrate into development.

He maintained that his government is respectful of the independence of powers and of national and international investments, which are important for the stability of the country.

At another point, he asked the business class to fight head-on against corruption, a scourge that must be eradicated so that future generations see that all things must be done transparently and not harm citizens.

“We have found former authorities on the run and behind bars. That is why it is important to invest in the education of the new generations to do things with transparency”, he pointed out.
