En ese marco se llevarán a cabo rifas solidarias con más de 200 premios divididos en 16 packs, además se contará con una feria de adopciones, charlas veterinarias, concursos para mascotas, bendiciones y mucho más

La empresa Biopet ofrecerá el servicio de limpieza de orejitas gratuito los 4 días de la feria a las mascotas asistentes, Matherpet, por su parte, estará con su ruleta ganadora de regalos.

También se darán consultas veterinarias gratuitas y se entregarán muestras de alimento para mascotas por parte de diversas empresas. El sábado se presentará un show infantil y la pasarela de conejitos con lindos obsequios; y el domingo se bendecirán a las mascotas, habrá presentaciones artísticas, la elección del rey y reina de la primavera canino y felino, y muchas sorpresas más.

Esta actividad busca contribuir con más de 70 albergues y rescatistas de animalitos abandonados a su suerte -principalmente perros y gatos- que afrontan una situación muy difícil.  Solo en Lima se estima que hay al menos 4 millones de perros en situación de abandono que están expuestos a enfermedades, hambre y riesgos propios de la calle.

Si bien la pandemia los golpeó duramente, los rescatistas siguen luchando desinteresadamente por sacar adelante a la mayor cantidad de mascotas abandonadas. El monto recaudado ayudará a más de 70 albergues y rescatistas independientes de Lima a solventar los gastos de alimentación y atención veterinaria.

Se debe señalar que, desde la primera edición del 2015, este evento ha colaborado con más de 20 mil mascotas. “Pese a la situación crítica los rescatistas no hemos suspendido nuestra labor. El abandono y maltrato animal sigue aumentando y debemos asumir con nuestros propios recursos y algunas donaciones todo lo que conlleva rescatar a los animalitos de las calles”, indicó Magda Lino, presidenta del grupo Rescatistas y Albergues Unidos.

Ahora más que nunca necesitamos el apoyo de todos para continuar con esta labor -continuó-, es importante sensibilizar a la comunidad y despertar la conciencia sobre el maltrato animal y el abandono

Uno de los albergues que está a punto de colapsar es Ary Doggies de Lima Sur (whatsapp 933176575 https://www.facebook.com/AlbergueAryDoggies, que tiene alrededor de 60 animalitos entre perros y gatos y que necesitan de mucho. El objetivo de los rescatistas es encontrarles a los perros y gatos abandonados el hogar que se merecen.

This activity seeks to contribute to more than 70 shelters and rescuers of animals abandoned to their fate -mainly dogs and cats- that face a very difficult situation. In Lima alone, it is estimated that there are at least 4 million dogs in a situation of abandonment that are exposed to diseases, hunger and risks typical of the street.
