Así lo señaló, al calificar, además, de muy positiva la reunión del jefe de Estado con inversores y representantes de empresas agrupadas en la American Society Council of Americas (AS/COA), una organización empresarial internacional que agrupa a más de 200 importantes firmas e inversiones en América Latina, algunos de ellos con negocios en el Perú.

“Tuvimos una magnífica reunión con alrededor de 37 empresarios de la American Society Council of Americas. Hemos podido dialogar y poner en agenda la promoción de inversiones en nuestro país. Reafirmamos que, ante la crisis internacional, tenemos una vocación de estabilidad política, que permite un entorno favorable para la reactivación económica del Perú”, afirmó el titular del Mincetur.

En ese sentido, añadió que el empresario norteamericano tiene una sensibilidad positiva del desempeño económico y comercial del Perú: récord de exportaciones, importante recaudación tributaria, la fortaleza de su moneda, el crecimiento del PBI, entre otros.

Ante ello, el ministro Sánchez comentó que en el presente año se busca que, inversionistas de la American Society Council of Americas arriben al Perú para tener reuniones en Lima y las regiones.

Como se recuerda, el presidente Pedro Castillo arribó a Estados Unidos para participar en el debate general del 77º Periodo Anual de Sesiones de la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas (ONU), en Nueva York (Estados Unidos). Acompaña al jefe de Estado, los ministros Roberto Sánchez, César Landa (Relaciones Exteriores); Kurt Burneo (Economía y Finanzas); y Rosendo Serna (Educación); así como el representante permanente del Perú ante la ONU, en New York, Manuel Rodríguez Cuadros.

El país norteamericano es nuestro segundo socio comercial más importante: el intercambio de bienes ha totalizado los US$ 12 365 millones a julio de este año, lo que se traduce en un notable crecimiento del 49 % en comparación al mismo periodo en el 2021. En el caso del turismo, del 1 de enero al 15 de septiembre de 2022, han arribado al Perú 1,3 millones de turistas internacionales. De esa cifra, 325 mil procedieron de Estados Unidos.

PERÚ: ABIERTO AL COMERCIO Y LA INVERSIÓN EXTRANJERA
En declaraciones, el ministro Sánchez señaló que el Perú es un país abierto al comercio y la inversión extranjera. Así señaló que el diálogo democrático es importante y debe ponerse por delante la reactivación del país, así como el crecimiento del empleo y mejorar la calidad de vida de los peruanos.

“Nuestro presidente ha venido a Estados Unidos con un discurso promotor de inversiones, de manos abiertas hablando de las bondades del país, porque la reactivación económica es fundamental, de las manos con las regiones. Revalidamos nuestra voluntad democrática y en la defensa de la paz, ante cualquier situación. Tenemos importantes relaciones comerciales vigentes y retos diversos”, destacó el titular del Mincetur

IMPORTANTE
Durante su presencia en Estados Unidos, el ministro Sánchez viene participando de reuniones bilaterales con funcionarios e inversionistas norteamericanos. Además, acompañó a empresarios peruanos en la Feria Coterie, en Nueva York, una de las plataformas de exhibición textil más importantes a nivel global y donde vienen participando empresarios nacionales con gran éxito.
