Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo Terrones, anunció hoy que el Gobierno aprobará en los próximos meses un programa de construcciones navales a fin de fortalecer la industrialización y mejorar la competitividad del sector marítimo, lo que generará dinamismo económico y miles de puesto de trabajo.

“Este programa empezará con la construcción de la primera de tres patrulleras oceánicas, con todas las capacidades operacionales necesarias para enfrentar a los depredadores del mar, quienes afectan el ecosistema y nuestros intereses como país”, dijo el mandatario durante su discurso por el 201° aniversario de la Marina de Guerra del Perú y el 143° aniversario del Combate Naval de Angamos en la Plaza Grau del Callao.

La ejecución de dichas construcciones se realizará de forma descentralizada en al menos tres centros de producción de Servicios Industriales de la Marina (SIMA) ubicados en el Callao, Iquitos y Chimbote.

“Esto constituirá un hito favorable en la historia de nuestro mar y permitirá hacer frente a actividades ilícitas, como la pesca ilegal, el tráfico de drogas, la trata de personas, el tráfico de armas, contrabando, robos y otros”, remarcó.

El jefe de Estado indicó también que el Buque Armada Peruana (BAP) Paita ya se encuentra listo para ser puesto a flote y atender a las poblaciones vulnerables afectadas por alguna emergencia y llevando ayuda humanitaria.

La construcción de este buque se dio en el marco del programa de fortalecimiento económico del país, que estableció una mesa ejecutiva donde se identificaron las barreras y acciones requeridas para que la industria naval peruana se desarrolle y cuente con mejores condiciones logísticas.

De otro lado, el presidente Castillo reveló que el BAP Unión zarpará a la Antártida en julio del 2023 circunnavegará durante un año por más de 18 puertos del mundo, llevando la cultura, tradiciones e historia peruana.

“Ese viaje se complementará con la próxima campaña científica del BAP Carrasco, que viajará en noviembre del presente año a la Antártida, como parte de nuestro compromiso para colaborar activamente con la investigación científica en el continente blanco”, resaltó.

On the other hand, President Castillo revealed that the BAP Unión will set sail for Antarctica in July 2023 and will circumnavigate more than 18 ports around the world for a year, bringing Peruvian culture, traditions and history.

“This trip will be complemented by the next BAP Carrasco scientific campaign, which will travel to Antarctica in November this year, as part of our commitment to actively collaborate with scientific research on the white continent,” he stressed.
