“El clamor de nuestros dirigentes y de la población no puede pasar por un acto burocrático; tenemos que atender a la población que pide agua y no pide vacancia”, manifestó tras inspeccionar obras de mejoramiento de sistemas de agua potable y alcantarillado en el distrito de Manantay, en la provincia de Coronel Portillo, región Ucayali.
En ese sentido, pidió a la clase política dejar de lado las confrontaciones y trabajar en conjunto para darle respuestas concretas a la población.
“Basta de estar en esta situación de confrontación porque el pueblo no come discurso, el pueblo no come ideología; el pueblo necesita servicios básicos”, enfatizó.
En otro momento, el jefe de Estado se dirigió a las autoridades salientes y electas y las convocó a continuar sus gestiones que beneficien a la población peruana.
“Invito a las autoridades para que no miren el 31 de diciembre, pues si bien están de salida, las obras están de entrada. A las autoridades salientes y entrantes les digo que tenemos que articular acciones para hacer frente a estas grandes brechas que tenemos que cerrar”, expresó.
VISITAREMOS A LAS PROVINCIAS DE LA REGIÓN
Durante su discurso, el mandatario saludó a la ciudad de Pucallpa por el día central de su semana jubilar, y destacó la riqueza que alberga tanto el distrito como la región.
En ese contexto, aseveró que su gobierno trabaja para solucionar los grandes problemas sociales que enfrentan la región como la delincuencia, la deforestación, el narcotráfico, entre otros.
“Estos son históricos problemas que no lo podrá solucionar el gobierno central, el gobierno regional o la alcaldía si trabajan de manera aislada; se tiene que trabajar en conjunto para atender estas grandes demandas”, anotó.
Finalmente, adelantó que regresará a la región para visitar otras provincias a fin de supervisar los proyectos de inversión pública que se vienen ejecutando en Ucayali.

During his speech, the president greeted the city of Pucallpa for the central day of its jubilee week, and highlighted the wealth that both the district and the region harbor.
In this context, he asserted that his government is working to solve the major social problems facing the region such as crime, deforestation, drug trafficking, among others.
“These are historical problems that cannot be solved by the central government, the regional government or the mayor’s office if they work in isolation; we have to work together to meet these great demands,” he noted.
Finally, he announced that he will return to the region to visit other provinces in order to supervise the public investment projects that are being carried out in Ucayali.
