“We have a commitment to the people to fight corruption head-on, and all authorities have to assume that,” he emphasized before governors and mayors from all over the country who meet in the Great Hall of the Government Palace.

He affirmed that despite the questions against the Executive, his management is firm in combating this scourge that has harmed the country for years. In this context, he exhorted them, for the sake of transparency, to report any act of corruption they detect, wherever it comes from.

“Our ministers of state are always constantly evaluating their performance and if you mayors are aware of any real, objective indication of corruption, do not hesitate to report it,” he remarked.

Next, the head of state called on the governors and mayors participating in the meeting of the 17th Executive GORE to work until the last day of their administration to resolve the social demands of their localities. However, he stressed the importance of the elected authorities also continuing to promote the closing of social gaps so that they do not get stuck.

“These reforms will be possible to the extent that we work in unity. We do not lack the guts to do it and we will do it through you and the authorities that come because these demands cannot continue to be postponed,” he stressed.

He stressed that these coordination spaces, such as the Executive GORE, allow ministers and regional authorities to find possible solutions for various sectors, mainly for education because it is a priority axis of the government.

“I ask you to put emphasis on the education issue, which we must embrace together so that our children have better opportunities and ensure that future generations are not left behind as before,” he said.

Among other issues referred to by the head of state, is the execution of the gas massification project at the national level, the same that, according to what he said, will begin in the southern macro-region. “It is an issue that we have to address at all costs and the Council of Ministers is already planning it,” he concluded.
