En el Día Internacional de la Eliminación de la Violencia contra las Mujeres, el presidente de la República, Pedro Castillo Terrones, tomó juramento esta tarde a la nueva presidenta del Consejo de Ministros, Betssy Chávez Chino, sucediendo en el cargo a Aníbal Torres Vásquez.
Betssy Chávez, abogada nacida en la ciudad de Tacna, ejerció anteriormente como ministra de Cultura y de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo.
También es congresista de la República. Durante la ceremonia, la nueva titular del Gabinete Ministerial juró por “el respeto al estado de derecho y la restitución del equilibrio y la separación de poderes”.
Chávez estudió Derecho en la Universidad Nacional Jorge Basadre Grohmann de Tacna. Asimismo, tiene una Maestría en Derecho con mención en Derecho Constitucional en la Universidad José Carlos Mariátegui.
También cuenta con especializaciones en Prevención de Conflictos Sociales, Doctrina de Derecho Constitucional y Delitos de Corrupción de Funcionarios.
