“Dejemos atrás los capítulos de confrontación, los infaustos hechos que quisieron quebrar la democracia y las aventuras que no generaron estabilidad. Es ahora o nunca. El Perú no puede parar. Unidos, como los Vencedores de Ayacucho, lograremos darle estabilidad, crecimiento y tranquilidad a una nación digna, grande y heroica”, afirmó.

El desarrollo del país, destacó la dignataria, se logrará junto a las gloriosas Fuerzas Armadas, la Policía Nacional, las fuerzas democráticas, las organizaciones de base, la sociedad civil organizada y el peruano de a pie, unidos y con permanente diálogo.

“Por nuestros hijos, por los que vienen y los que vendrán, gobernemos juntos para construir un país también para los ‘nadies’, quienes, al igual que todos, anhelan el desarrollo y la igualdad de oportunidades”, aseveró.

En otro momento de su discurso, la presidenta remarcó el glorioso y heroico legado de los valerosos peruanos que, en la Pampa de la Quinua, Ayacucho, vencieron a las fuerzas realistas sellando de manera definitiva la independencia de toda Latinoamérica.

La nación, según remarcó la mandataria, es firme, fuerte y segura gracias a las Fuerzas Armadas que dan la garantía de respeto a la Constitución, el Estado de derecho y el equilibrio de poderes, que se recuperó tras “una fallida aventura que debe quedar en la memoria del país para que la historia no se repita”.

Al pie del monumento del coronel Francisco Bolognesi, saludó a los integrantes del glorioso Ejército del Perú, institución centinela de la seguridad y la defensa de la soberanía nacional, y siempre dispuesta para acudir al llamado de la patria y en salvaguarda de los peruanos en las emergencias naturales.

“A sus mujeres y hombres, mi reconocimiento por tan grande sacrificio que le hace honor al legado de Bolognesi, un hombre desprendido, sacrificado y solidario como lo son ustedes”, aseveró.

A su llegada a la sede del Cuartel General del Ejército, recibió los honores militares y pasó revista a las tropas, en un hecho histórico, al ser la primera presidenta de la República.

“To your women and men, my appreciation for such a great sacrifice that honors the legacy of Bolognesi, a selfless, self-sacrificing and supportive man like you are,” he asserted.

Upon her arrival at the headquarters of the Army General Headquarters, she received military honors and reviewed the troops, in a historic event, as she was the first female president of the Republic.
