Esta mañana, el titular de EsSalud visitó el Centro de Emergencia del hospital Edgardo Rebagliati, ubicado en Jesús María, donde supervisó la atención en las principales áreas asistenciales y verificó la disponibilidad de camas hospitalarias.

Acompañado de las autoridades y parte del personal de salud del referido nosocomio, el doctor Orellana Vicuña recorrió la Unidad de Shock Trauma, UCI, así como las áreas de observación, cirugías de emergencia, diagnóstico por imágenes, cirugía de cabeza y cuello, entre otros servicios.

También verificó el stock de medicamentos, insumos médicos y equipos de protección personal (EPP) del área de productos para casos de desastres, que son indispensables para la atención de heridos o personas que presentan algún problema de riesgo de salud.

CAPACIDAD DE RESPUESTA
La máxima autoridad del Seguro Social remarcó que se realiza un monitoreo permanente de los principales hospitales de Lima, Callao y del interior del país para verificar el funcionamiento y la capacidad de respuesta.

Dijo que se están implementando acciones, en alianza con el Ministerio de Salud, para garantizar el abastecimiento de medicamentos e insumos médicos en los establecimientos de salud de las 30 redes asistenciales a nivel nacional.

“EsSalud se encuentra preparado para atender las emergencias que pudieran presentarse por la situación política que vive el país. Venimos recorriendo y supervisando los principales hospitales del país para verificar el funcionamiento y la capacidad de respuesta”, precisó.

Tras decretarse el estado de emergencia por los actos de violencia en diversas zonas del país, el presidente de EsSalud visitó los hospitales Alberto Sabogal (Callao), Guillermo Almenara (La Victoria) y las instalaciones del Instituto Nacional Cardiovascular (Incor), donde verificó las atenciones que se brinda a los pacientes.

ATENCIÓN DE HERIDOS
Hasta el momento, EsSalud ha atendido 34 heridos, entre mujeres y hombres, en los establecimientos de salud de Ayacucho, Juliaca, Arequipa, La Libertad y Lima.

En la víspera, el Seguro Social de Salud envió una brigada médica del Hospital Perú a Ayacucho para reforzar las atenciones ante la alta demanda de pacientes heridos. También se ha desplegado ambulancias para garantizar el traslado de pacientes a los establecimientos de salud.

Finalmente, el presidente de EsSalud reiteró su invocación a la ciudadanía a mantener la calma, serenidad y respetar la infraestructura hospitalaria en todo el país.
