El jefe del Gabinete Ministerial informó que se trata de la segunda etapa del proyecto Majes Siguas II, que requerirá S/ 203 millones y permitirá generar 200 mil puestos de trabajo; la construcción de la carretera Arequipa – La Joya, para el cual se destinarán S/ 2 mil millones, y el asfaltado de la carretera Patahuasi.

“Esta carretera [Patahuasi] es la salida hacia Puno. Estamos hablando de S/ 160 millones que serán financiados el próximo año por el Ejecutivo para que lo ejecute el Gobierno Regional de Arequipa”, indicó el titular de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM).

Con relación al sector salud, Otárola Peñaranda aseguró inversiones en el Hospital Goyeneche y al Instituto de Enfermedades Neoplásicas (INEN), en lo que respecta a especialidades, infraestructura y equipamiento en la región.

“La inversión al Instituto de Enfermedades Neoplásicas se trata de una decisión histórica que ha sido incentivada y socorrida por la presidenta de la República, Dina Boluarte, quien tiene una especial mirada hacia el tratamiento del cáncer en el país”, acotó.

En el ámbito de la agricultura, el presidente del Consejo de Ministros manifestó que se promoverá el proyecto de inversión de la Represa Yanapujio. “Esta iniciativa se encuentra agendada y representa aproximadamente S/ 608 millones que se invertirán el 2023”, declaró.

El titular de la PCM también enfatizó que los proyectos anunciados son muestra de la decisión y voluntad del Ejecutivo para promover el bienestar en las regiones. “En estos últimos dos días hemos trabajado con los sectores estos proyectos que hemos anunciado y que se harán realidad en Arequipa, lo que demuestra como un gobernador, con sensibilidad social y gestión asertiva logra respuestas a los reclamos naturales de una región importante para el país”, concluyó.

Tras el diálogo, Otárola Peñaranda invocó a los gobernadores electos de las regiones del sur del país a trabajar de manera conjunta con el Ejecutivo, a fin de llevar a cabo los pequeños, medianos y grandes proyectos de inversión para el desarrollo de sus localidades.
