La ceremonia se llevó a cabo en el Centro Cultural Moyobamba (CUMO) y contó con la presencia de las principales autoridades de nuestra región. La asociación cultural Mayoruna, amenizó este magno evento y deleitó a los asistentes con danzas representativas de nuestras tres regiones naturales.

El acto de juramentación protocolar inició con el consejero mayor, Warren Pinto, juramentando a nuestro gobernador regional, Walter Grundel Jiménez, quien luego de esto, juramentó a la vicegobernadora, doña Olguita Celiz Cruz y a los quince consejeros de nuestra región.

En esta ceremonia también se hizo uso del slogan de la actual gestión “Somos tu gente” el cual nace producto de la identidad regional, compromiso y empatía de este actual gobierno regional con todos los sanmartinenses.

Cabe resaltar que, esta nueva gestión tiene como objetivo convertir a San Martín en una región próspera, brindando calidad de vida a sus pobladores, trayendo trabajo y desarrollo que tanto hace falta.

Posterior a la juramentación, nuestro gobernador, expuso su discurso, donde mencionó las prioridades de su gobierno, entre ellas, está brindar una mejor calidad de vida a la población y el desarrollo integró de la región San Martín. También hizo énfasis en el compromiso que tienen sus funcionarios a quienes recalcó que tienen que trabajar por los más pobres.

Asimismo, habló sobre los servicios básicos y su pronta implementación en las localidades más alejadas de la región “Estoy dispuesto a ir con los alcaldes a tocar las puertas del gobierno central” puntualizó.

En un momento emotivo del evento, nuestra primera autoridad regional, mencionó que daría su vida para sacar adelante a los más necesitados, pero resaltó que no puede hacer el trabajo solo, por lo que necesita de todos los samartinenses.

Respecto a los actos de corrupción en los que estuvo envuelta la anterior gestión, declaró que se reunirá con representantes de la Contraloría de la República, para facilitar las investigaciones y solicitar la presencia de dicha entidad en la vigilancia de todos los actuales funcionarios de su gestión. “¡Me van a conocer!”, sostuvo.

Por otro lado, relacionó el tema de la seguridad ciudadana junto con el turismo y adelantó que los empresarios con los que se reunió están a la espera de invertir en la creación de los corredores turísticos para potenciar y reactivar el sector en la región San Martín.

Nuestro gobernador regional, concluyó su discurso exhortando a la población a luchar contra la deforestación, porque para ello necesitamos aliados como las comunidades nativas y las rondas campesinas.

Finalmente, pero no menos importante, anunció la creación de la subgerencia de Cultura y de los Pueblos Indígenas, lo cual es indispensable para la inclusión de todos los hermanos y hermanas sanmartinenses, muchas veces olvidados y dejados de lado.

After the swearing in, our governor gave his speech, where he mentioned his government’s priorities, including providing a better quality of life for the population and the integrated development of the San Martín region. He also emphasized the commitment of his officials to whom he stressed that they have to work for the poorest.

Likewise, he spoke about basic services and their prompt implementation in the most remote locations in the region. “I am willing to go with the mayors to knock on the doors of the central government,” he pointed out.

In an emotional moment of the event, our first regional authority mentioned that he would give his life to help those most in need, but stressed that he cannot do the job alone, so he needs all the people of Samartin.

Regarding the acts of corruption in which the previous management was involved, he declared that he will meet with representatives of the Comptroller of the Republic, to facilitate the investigations and request the presence of said entity in the surveillance of all the current officials of his management . “They’re going to meet me!” he said.

On the other hand, he related the issue of citizen security together with tourism and announced that the businessmen with whom he met are waiting to invest in the creation of tourist corridors to promote and reactivate the sector in the San Martín region.

Our regional governor concluded his speech by urging the population to fight against deforestation, because for this we need allies such as native communities and peasant patrols.

Last but not least, he announced the creation of the sub-management for Culture and Indigenous Peoples, which is essential for the inclusion of all the brothers and sisters from San Martin, often forgotten and left aside.
