Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El Organismo Técnico de la Administración de los Servicios de Saneamiento (Otass) realizó transferencias hasta por S/19 604 720 a diez empresas de agua potable y alcantarillado (EPS) de siete regiones del país en el 2022, a fin de optimizar sus procesos comerciales y operacionales, adquirir maquinaria, modernizar sus instalaciones y lograr avances logísticos, todo lo cual contribuye a mejorar sus servicios y la calidad de vida de la población.

El organismo, adscrito al Ministerio de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento (MVCS), destinó recursos a las EPS Emapa San Martín, EPSSMU de Utcubamba (Amazonas). EPS Ilo (Moquegua), Emapacop (Ucayali), Emapisco, Semapach y Emapica –las tres últimas son de la región Ica–, empresas que administra temporalmente bajo el Régimen de Apoyo Transitorio (RAT), brindándoles asistencia técnica y financiera para reflotarlas, elevar la calidad de sus servicios y aumentar su cobertura.

La EPS Emapa San Martín recibió S/2 873 849 para remodelar la Planta de Tratamiento de Agua Potable de la fuente Ahuashiyacu, que mejorará la calidad de vida de 34 070 pobladores de Tarapoto y la Banda de Shilcayo; y adquirir un registrador de datos para atender emergencias en las centrales de Tarapoto, Bellavista, Saposoa, Lamas, San José de Sisa y Picota.

Además, se transfirieron S/2 361 266 a EPSSMU para optimizar los procesos en la captación Quebrada Goncha así como en la antigua y la nueva PTAP de la empresa, lo cual favorecerá con más horas de servicio a 35 576 habitantes de Bagua. La EPS Ilo recibió S/1 634 696 para renovar las redes de agua potable y alcantarillado de la Asociación Pro Vivienda Villa El Porteño. En tanto, a Emapacop, el Otass transfirió S/1 218 836 para la adquisición de unidades móviles y maquinaria en el marco del proceso de integración del distrito de Campo Verde, en la provincia de Coronel Portillo, al ámbito de acción de la empresa ucayalina.

Emapica, por su parte, recibió S/1 191 900 con el fin de comprar equipos de bombeo para mejorar la captación de agua a través de pozos, mientras que a Semapach se le destinaron S/191 747 para renovar válvulas y grifos contra incendio en la red de distribución de los distritos de Chincha, Grocio Prado, Pueblo Nuevo, Sunampe, Chincha Baja, Tambo de Mora y Chincha Alta en la provincia de Chincha; mientras que Empisco renovará y ampliará las redes de agua potable y alcantarillado en algunos sectores de Pisco, San Andrés y Túpac Amaru Inca, en el distrito y provincia de Pisco, a favor de 1970 pobladores, gracias a la transferencia de S/4 240 574.

APOYO PARA MOQUEGUA, APURÍMAC Y CUSCO
La EPS Moquegua, la primera empresa prestadora que retornó a la administración municipal tras ser reflotada por el Otass, recibió S/951 913 antes de salir del RAT para la adquisición de micromedidores y la renovación de conexiones domiciliaras de agua potable y alcantarillado, en beneficio de la urbanización Jardines de Villa, distrito de Samegua, en la provincia Mariscal Nieto; y para la repotenciación del sistema de control, supervisión y adquisición de datos Scada.

Las empresas municipales Emusap Abancay (Apurímac) y Sedacusco también recibieron recursos. El organismo transfirió en total a la primera empresa S/2 837 690 para, en el marco de su política de integración, comprar un equipo de desinfección, renovar el cerco perimétrico en el sistema de agua potable y adquirir un equipo hidráulico para la línea de aducción del reservorio Antabamba Baja, en el distrito de Tamburco; y para la construcción de un colector primario para los sectores Valle El Pisonay, San Isidro, Villa René, Villa Marca, Hiroíto, Simpe y Nuevo Horizonte, en el distrito y provincia de Abancay.

Finalmente, Sedacusco recibió S/2 102 249 para renovar la línea de conducción y la red de distribución del sistema de agua potable de la estación de bombeo Collana a la Asociación Pro Vivienda Ferroviarios, en el distrito cusqueño de Saylla.

El Otass, brazo técnico ejecutor del Ministerio de Vivienda, administra temporalmente a 18 empresas prestadoras a través del RAT, fortalece a otras 30 EPS de accionariado municipal por medio de asistencia técnica y financiera, y presta servicios en Tumbes a través de la Unidad Ejecutora 002 Agua Tumbes
