Durante una conferencia de prensa junto a su Gabinete Ministerial, a pocos días de cumplir un mes en el gobierno, la mandataria advirtió que el 2022 se dejó de invertir 18 mil millones de soles en los tres niveles de gobierno, en perjuicio de los ciudadanos y las ciudadanas del país.

“Los ministros tienen el encargo de haber ejecutado, a junio de este año, entre 50 y 60 % del presupuesto para llegar a diciembre al 100 %, con capacidad de gestión. Falta mejorar la educación, ahí tiene su presupuesto; hay deficiencias en salud, ahí está su presupuesto. El presidente del Consejo de Ministros tiene la obligación de hacer un seguimiento al trabajo que realicen los ministros y las ministras”, refirió.

Indicó, además, que el Gabinete ha puesto énfasis en recuperar la meritocracia, con personal que cumpla con los perfiles necesarios y que conozca el sector, pero también que trabaje con transparencia porque “no se va a permitir actos de corrupción”.

Ratificó que su compromiso es que, al entregar su mandato, habrá un cambio en el país, con énfasis en salud, vivienda, saneamiento, internet, agua y apoyo para la agricultura. Los ministros de Estado, refirió, presentarán un balance de su gestión cada mes.

La mandataria, asimismo, reconoció a la mayoría de peruanos y peruanas que apuestan por la paz. En tanto, a quienes participan en las manifestaciones, volvió a llamarlos al diálogo para atender sus preocupaciones.

“El gobierno de transición no tiene otro interés que el de trabajar. Las marchas de protesta pacífica son legales, pero no cuando se violentan otros derechos. Por ejemplo, cuando se bloquean carreteras, no se deja transitar libremente a las personas”, refirió.

“Llamo a los hermanos y hermanas que aún están en las calles a reflexionar, paremos la confrontación innecesaria y miremos el país que queremos, con cambio y esperanza; demos un mensaje de paz, de seguridad jurídica, política y social para que vengan las inversiones, los turistas, somos un pueblo de paz y desarrollo”, añadió.

The president also recognized the majority of Peruvians who are committed to peace. Meanwhile, to those who participate in the demonstrations, he again called them to dialogue to address their concerns.

“The transition government has no other interest than to work. Peaceful protest marches are legal, but not when other rights are violated. For example, when roads are blocked, people are not allowed to move freely,” he said.

“I call on the brothers and sisters who are still in the streets to reflect, let’s stop the unnecessary confrontation and look at the country we want, with change and hope; let us give a message of peace, of legal, political and social security so that investments and tourists come, we are a people of peace and development”, he added.
