Durante el encuentro, realizado en Palacio de Gobierno, los asistentes abogaron por la construcción de un Perú en paz, sin desencuentros, y con la apertura de espacios para hablar, escuchar y transitar por el camino de la unidad y el desarrollo.

La jefa de Estado agradeció el interés y la preocupación de los líderes religiosos por sumarse a la búsqueda de la paz social en el país y subrayó la necesidad de que el diálogo se sostenga en el tiempo entre todos los peruanos.

CONSEJO INTERRELIGIOSO
El Consejo Interreligioso del Perú es un organismo de encuentro, diálogo y fraternidad de las comunidades religiosas de mayor arraigo histórico en el país, que alienta, promueve y moviliza la cooperación, mediante la acción por la justicia, la paz y la solidaridad.

IGLESIA DE JESUCRISTO SEGUIRÁ APOYANDO A LOS MÁS VULNERABLES
Durante la reunión del Consejo Interreligioso del Perú realizada en el salón Tupac Amaru, la mandataria peruana reconoció el gran aporte de la Iglesia de Jesucristo que durante años viene realizando en favor de las poblaciones más vulnerables, sobre todo la presidenta Boluarte hizo hincapié sobre el servicio de ayuda humanitaria que dicho ente religioso realiza desde hace años, y sobre todo recientemente en la etapa de la pandemia en el país.

Seguidamente Guillermo Estrugo, director de asuntos públicos de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días de la región andina que anarca a cinco naciones del continente, manifestó a la jefa de Estado Dina Boluarte la plena disposición de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días para continuar los esfuerzos de apoyo a las poblaciones más necesitadas.

Al concluir dicha reunión de los miembros del Consejo Interreligioso del Perú en Palacio de Gobierno con la jefa de Estado, Guillermo Estrugo, aperturó la rueda de prensa con los hombres y mujeres periodistas acreditados a Palacio de Gobierno, en donde señaló meridianamente el reconocimiento que mostró la gobernante peruana Dina Boluarte hacía el papel y compromiso de la Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, a través de sus oficinas de ayuda humanitaria en todo el país, lo que ha permitido concretizar diversas donaciones en bienes y servicios en diversas instituciones, municipalidades y regiones del Perú, y que vienen beneficiando directamente a las poblaciones que más necesitan, como en los sectores de salud, educación, salubridad, producción y otros.

IGLESIA CATÓLICA ABIERTA AL DIÁLOGO
Al término de la reunión, el presidente del Consejo Interreligioso del Perú y representante de la Conferencia Episcopal Peruana, monseñor Salvador Piñeiro, indicó que elevan sus oraciones para que el Perú sea un país de hermanos, donde impere la tolerancia, la comprensión y la solidaridad.

Por su parte, la secretaria ejecutiva del consejo, Laura Vargas, expresó la disponibilidad que tienen para promover el diálogo, el perdón, y viajar con ese fin a la región donde sea necesario fortalecer la comunicación y la paz.

Participaron de la cita, representantes de la Unión de Iglesias Cristianas Evangélicas del Perú, Conferencia de Religiosos y Religiosas del Perú, Concilio Evangélico Nacional del Perú, Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, Asociación Judía del Perú, Asociación Islámica del Perú y la Comunidad Bahá´í del Perú.
