En una reunión sostenida en la víspera con el enviado especial del alto comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Derechos Humanos, Christian Salazar, y su equipo técnico, así como con el ministro de Defensa, Jorge Chávez, el premier hizo mención de las acciones del Gobierno en el manejo de estas manifestaciones.

En ese sentido, resaltó que, por disposición de la presidenta Dina Boluarte, la Policía Nacional no ha usado armas letales para contener las movilizaciones.

Asimismo, indicó que, apenas registrados los hechos violentos, el Gobierno dispuso la implementación de puentes aéreos, tanto para el traslado de los heridos como para llevar medicamentos a los lugares donde más se necesitaban. Resaltó la campaña de donación de sangre desarrollada por los soldados del Ejército.

Del mismo modo, indicó que el Ejecutivo, a través del Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos, dispuso el rápido apoyo solidario a los familiares de los deudos de las víctimas, para que el Estado los respalde en todo lo posible.

En tanto, dijo, se está facilitando toda la información a la Fiscalía de la Nación. “Tenemos que mantener la autoridad y promover las investigaciones que conduzcan a esclarecer los hechos. Cuanto más rápido se conozca la verdad, más se afianzará la democracia en el país”, consideró.

Otárola Peñaranda reiteró que el Gobierno continúa abierto al diálogo y que ya se ha logrado conversar con casi todos los gobernadores regionales, líderes de las Iglesias, entre otros actores que contribuyan a lograr un diálogo amplio y democrático.
