Durante la reunión, realizada en Palacio de Gobierno, la mandataria indicó que el Ministerio del Ambiente trabajará en una plataforma para la inscripción de las personas que se dedican a esta actividad, la misma que permitirá además que puedan ser incluidos en diversos programas sociales.
Asimismo, pidió el compromiso del sector privado para apoyar esta actividad fundamental para el desarrollo sostenible del Perú.
Melitón Sánchez Zambrano, de la Asociación de Recicladores de San Miguel, resaltó que es la primera vez que los recicladores son recibidos en Palacio de Gobierno y pidió una mayor coordinación del Gobierno Nacional y las municipalidades para la atención de sus necesidades.
“Estamos creando un mejor planeta, un mejor ambiente, un mejor mundo, estoy orgulloso del trabajo que realizo”, aseveró.
En la reunión participó el ministro de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo, Alfonso Adrianzén Ojeda; la titular del Ambiente, Albina Ruiz Ríos y el presidente de la Sociedad Nacional de Industrias, Jesús Salazar.
Estuvieron también representantes de la Asociación de Recicladores Nuevo Amanecer (Piura), la Asociación de Recicladores de la Provincia de Bagua (Amazonas), la Asociación Todos Unidos por un Futuro Mejor (Piura), la Asociación de Recicladores de Piura, la Asociación de recicladores de San Miguel (Lima) y la Asociación de recicladores Nueva Era Ambiental (Lima).
