Así lo anunciaron en conferencia de prensa, el alcalde de la Municipalidad Distrital de San Luis, Zósimo Infanzón y Silvia Villa Cartagena, asesora de la Mesa Afroperuana.

San Luis es un distrito, de la provincia de Cañete, al sur de Lima, que pugna por preservar sus tradiciones, música, variadas danzas, platos típicos como la sopa seca y carapulcra o “la Tuca”, potaje elaborado con carne y vísceras de res, que ha sobrevivido en el tiempo desde la época de la esclavitud.

También la visita a San Luis será motivo de conocer y degustar sus incomparables alfajores, dulces de leche, quesillos o higos, picarones y guindones en su almíbar.

El alcalde Infanzón, se refirió al empuje que se está dando en esta nueva gestión, al desarrollo, preservación y difusión todas sus expresiones artísticas como: zamacuecas, landó, danza del machete, festejo y otras que estarán presentes en el Carnaval Negro de San Luis.

Anunció que desde el municipio que dirige se viene trabajando un soporte logístico de orientadores turísticos, personal de seguridad y servicios higiénicos para asegurar la completa satisfacción del turista.

Otro objetivo a mediano plazo es también es poner en valor y recuperar toda la propuesta cultural de San Luis, que es nexo entre Cañete y Lima. Diversas danzas costumbristas que son muestra del sincretismo cultural de esta zona como la danza de las brujas o la danza a Santa Epigenia.

El valle agrícola de San Luis tiene también para ofrecer restos arqueológicos de la cultura Wari, complejo arqueológico Inca Huasi, huellas arqueológicas de la migración china y japonesa, un cementerio de esclavos y la tumba de la santa morena Epigenia, entre otros lugares que el visitante podrá apreciar en un futuro cercano.
