La presidenta informó que el Gobierno está comprometido con atender a la población afectada, de la mano de las autoridades regionales y locales, y el sector privado, llevando ayuda humanitaria como la enviada en la víspera a regiones del norte.

“Nos ponemos de pie para dar respuesta inmediata a la situación que se ha presentado”, afirmó la jefa de Estado tras ratificar la importancia de trabajar en esta tarea en un contexto de unidad, diálogo, paz y hermandad entre todos los peruanos.

En ese sentido, la dignataria anunció que habrá una reingeniería de la Autoridad para la Reconstrucción con Cambios, creada en 2017, con el objetivo de que brinde una real solución frente a las emergencias que generan las intensas lluvias.

Según explicó, corresponde que dicha entidad se enfoque en la crecida de los ríos Piura y La Leche, entre otros, y que tenga una mirada a nivel nacional.

Asimismo, sostuvo que toca enfrentar la pobreza con obras de agua, desagüe, pistas, mejores postas médicas, escuelas y conectividad, para evitar el nivel de impacto que tienen hoy los fenómenos meteorológicos.

En otro momento, la mandataria informó que 400 distritos fueron declarados en emergencia por las lluvias, y que el inicio de las clases escolares se postergará una semana desde Tumbes a Ica y el Callao, a fin de resguardar la seguridad de los alumnos.

De igual forma, la presidenta reiteró que los pobladores que perdieron sus viviendas recibirán un bono de 500 soles hasta por dos años y se destinará un bono agrario para aquellos agricultores que perdieron sus sembríos debido a las lluvias.

Además, la jefa de Estado agradeció el apoyo del sector privado y de las Naciones Unidas en esta situación de emergencia.

As he explained, it is appropriate for said entity to focus on the flooding of the Piura and La Leche rivers, among others, and to have a national perspective.

Likewise, he argued that it is time to face poverty with water works, drainage, roads, better medical posts, schools and connectivity, to avoid the level of impact that meteorological phenomena have today.

At another time, the president reported that 400 districts were declared an emergency due to the rains, and that the start of school classes will be postponed for a week from Tumbes to Ica and Callao, in order to protect the safety of students.

Similarly, the president reiterated that the residents who lost their homes will receive a bonus of 500 soles for up to two years and an agricultural bonus will be allocated to those farmers who lost their crops due to the rains.
