“Le pido al ministro del Interior, Avellino Guillen, que recoja las demandas del cuerpo de bomberos a la brevedad posible porque para eso estamos; para atender al Perú y a sus organizaciones e instituciones”, manifestó en la ceremonia de entrega realizada en Palacio de Gobierno.
Precisó que se está haciendo entrega de 18 camiones-cisternas: cinco unidades con capacidad de tanque de 5,000 galones de agua y otras 13 unidades de 1,500 galones de agua.
Además, agregó, se otorga 20 camionetas auxiliares doble cabina completamente equipadas para cumplir con las labores de rescate.
“Estas unidades móviles fortalecen el servicio de emergencias y es fruto del esfuerzo del Estado en favor de los valientes bomberos voluntarios que cada año atienden más de 120 mil emergencias de todo tipo: incendios, desastres naturales, accidentes vehiculares, emergencias médicas, entre otros”, remarcó.
Cabe indicar que, el CGBVP cuenta en la actualidad con mil 300 vehículos de emergencias a nivel nacional, incluyendo ambulancias, autobombas, carros de rescate, cisternas, escalas telescópicas y auxiliares.
En ese sentido, el Jefe de Estado afirmó que es importante para el país la renovación de su inventario móvil, pues las condiciones logísticas en las que han venido trabajando no han sido adecuadas, toda vez la mayor parte de las unidades móviles tiene años de antigüedad y, algunas, se encuentran en pésimas condiciones.
“Los bomberos han estado presentes en todas las circunstancias y los momentos de adversidad que ha vivido nuestro país. Estuvieron para sofocar los incendios y rescatar a las personas, durante los sismos para asistir a las familias afectadas; en resumen, están cada vez que el país los necesita”, enfatizó.
Resaltó que el CGBVP es una institución que, desde hace 161 años, está identificada con la comunidad las 24 horas del día, brindando un servicio heroico, atendiendo cada emergencia que ocurre a nivel nacional.
“El día de hoy nos reunimos en Palacio de Gobierno, la casa de todos los peruanos, para rendir un homenaje a todas las mujeres y hombres que sirven voluntariamente a una institución valerosa y abnegada como es el Cuerpo General de Bomberos Voluntarios del Perú”, expresó.
La ceremonia de entrega de unidades móviles se llevó a cabo en el Patio de Honor de Palacio y contó con la presencia del ministro del Interior, Avellino Guillen; el Comandante General del CGBVP, Luis Antonio Ponce La Jara; y 200 oficiales del cuerpo de bomberos.
Antes de la entrega se reconoció a los bomberos voluntarios de todo el país por su servicio, entrega y disciplina en la lucha contra la pandemia por la COVID – 19.

It should be noted that the CGBVP currently has 1,300 emergency vehicles nationwide, including ambulances, fire trucks, rescue cars, tanks, telescopic and auxiliary ladders.
In this sense, the Head of State affirmed that it is important for the country to renew its mobile inventory, since the logistical conditions in which they have been working have not been adequate, since most of the mobile units are years old. and some are in terrible condition.
“The firefighters have been present in all the circumstances and moments of adversity that our country has experienced. They were there to put out the fires and rescue people, during the earthquakes to assist the affected families; in short, they are there every time the country needs them ”, he emphasized.
He stressed that the CGBVP is an institution that, for 161 years, has been identified with the community 24 hours a day, providing a heroic service, attending to every emergency that occurs nationwide.

Before the handover, volunteer firefighters from across the country were recognized for their service, dedication and discipline in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
