“Tenemos que anunciar que hemos llegado a importantes acuerdos reconociendo que la lucha contra el narcotráfico es un tema fundamental para el Estado, pero que también tenemos que atender la problemática de los pequeños productores cocaleros. Por eso, hemos decidido instalar una Mesa Multisectorial de Trabajo, que realizará el jueves 28 de octubre en la ciudad de Juliaca, con los representantes de diversos sectores del Estado y de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros, anunció la jefa del Gabinete Ministerial.

Vásquez Chuquilín, agradeció la buena disposición y voluntad de diálogo de los dirigentes cocaleros que participaron en esta reunión para iniciar un proceso de trabajo y conversaciones a fin de llegar a soluciones que atiendan las demandas de los pequeños agricultores cocaleros.

La mesa de trabajo será presidida por la jefa del Gabinete Ministerial, ministros y representantes de diversos sectores que están involucrados en la problemática de los cultivos de hoja de coca.

A su turno, el secretario general de la Confederación Nacional de Productores Agropecuarios de las Cuencas Cocaleras del Perú (CONAPACCP), Julián Pérez Mallqui, confirmó el levantamiento del bloqueo de la Carretera Interoceánica.

“Como secretario general doy mi palabra que a partir de hoy día se levanta la medida de fuerza. Queremos trabajar de la mano con el Gobierno asumiendo las responsabilidades que en la mesa de trabajo se van a determinar, agregó el dirigente cocalero.

Asimismo, indicó que se quiere dar solución a la problemática de la hoja de coca, que por años ha sido postergada. Queremos ser bastante sinceros y claros. Nosotros como organización no estamos encubriendo al narcotráfico, ni tampoco a favor del narcotráfico, enfatizó.

En la cita realizada en la sede de la PCM, también participaron el ministro de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Víctor Maita, el congresista Guillermo Bermejo (Perú Libre) y los representantes de diferentes organizaciones de agricultores cocaleros de Puno.
