El asesinato se produce a dos meses antes de las elecciones presidenciales y legislativas en dicha nación, convocadas para el 26 de setiembre, uno de los comicios en los que el mandatario asesinado no podía ser candidato.

Desde las primeras horas de la mañana, diversos líderes políticos mundiales han lanzado a través de las redes sociales mensajes de condolencias y la condena por el asesinato del presidente haitiano. La Casa Blanca señaló que se informó de inmediato al presidente estadounidense, Joe Biden, sobre el “trágico ataque” contra Moïse y su esposa, añadiendo que Estados Unidos “ayudará de cualquier forma”.

Del mismo modo desde Washington, la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos publicó en Twitter que condena “enérgicamente” el homicidio del presidente Moïse.

Por su parte, el primer ministro británico Boris Johnson denominó el magnicidio como “un acto abominable” y llamó a la calma en el país caribeño. “Estoy conmocionado y triste por la muerte del presidente Moise”, declaró el británico.

En el Perú el mandatario de la nación Inca, Francisco Sagasti, condenó el magnicidio de su colega haitiano, envió sus condolencias por lo ocurrido contra el mandatario de Haití, Jovenel Moise. Sagasti añadió que este tipo de crímenes enlutan a toda la región y “no deben quedar impunes”.

Según el periodista Robenson Geffrard del medio de comunicación de Haití ‘Le Nouvelliste’, el ataque habría sido perpetrado por un grupo de comando “integrado por elementos extranjeros”. El medio haitiano informó que uno de los hijos del presidente estaba presente durante el ataque, pero se encuentra a salvo.

REALIDAD POLÍTICA.SOCIAL Y ECONÓMICA DE HAITI
Haití es uno de los trece países que forman la América insular, Antillas o islas del mar Caribe, uno de los treinta y cinco países de América, sin embargo es el país más pobre de todo el continente, desde su fundación a la fecha, atraviesa una fuerte crisis política-social y económica, sus revueltas sociales en el actual régimen de gobierno se dan desde mediados del 2018, viviendo uno de sus momentos más difíciles y graves el último 7 de febrero cuando el gobernante, Jovenel Moise, denunció que la oposición y jueces tramaban un golpe de Estado.

Lo evidente es que en Haití, organizaciones como la Red Nacional de Defensa de los Derechos Humanos (RNDDH), indica: “que desde que llegaron al poder la actuales autoridades (Jovenel Moise), se han burlado de los logros democráticos del pueblo haitiano y han violado sistemáticamente sus derechos. Nunca han tomado en serio los diversos movimientos de protesta que se han producido en el país desde julio de 2018 a la fecha por parte de una población que padece todo tipo de males y que exige el respeto y cumplimiento integral de sus derechos civiles, económicos, políticos y sociales.

VERSIÓN OFICIAL
Apocas horas de producirse al asalto y asesinato del gobernante haitiano, Jovenel Moise, el primer ministro interino, Claude Joseph, informó que “a la una de la mañana del 7 de julio un grupo de personas no identificadas, que hablaban en español e inglés, asesinaron al presidente de la República. El presidente ha muerto a causa de sus heridas”, sostuvo meridianamente el primer ministro interino en un comunicado leído por la radio oficial de dicho país, lo cierto es que hasta el cierre del presente despacho el país había sido decretado en Estado de sitio y Claude Joseph se habría hecho cargo del Haití.

Claude Josep, llamó temprano a la calma y señaló que “se están tomando todas las medidas para garantizar la continuidad del Estado y proteger a la nación”. Claude Joseph fue destituido de su cargo el pasado lunes, cuando el fallecido presidente haitiano nombró a Ariel Henry como nuevo primer ministro, con la tarea de formar un Gobierno de consenso., por lo que las suspicacias no se han hecho esperar y ya se habla de una conspiración por parte Joseph para asesinar al mandatario Jovenel Moise.

Ariel Henry fue designado como primer ministro de Haití para enfrentar la grave crisis de seguridad que atraviesa dicho país y apoyar la organización del referéndum constitucional y las elecciones presidenciales y legislativas, previstas para el próximo septiembre de este años, ahora con el asesinato del mandatario Jovenel Moise, todo queda truncado, y en conclusión tal vez ya no habrá referéndum constitucional y las elecciones presidenciales a ,o mejor serán postergadas a una fecha no definida.
