Durante seis meses, nuestro país exhibirá toda su diversidad biológica y cultural de sus 25 regiones, pasando por los Andes, la costa, la selva y nuestro mar. Este importante evento internacional dará un fuerte impulso a la actividad turística y exportadora nacional, que hoy se encuentran en proceso de recuperación. Calculamos que la participación del Perú en la Expo Dubái logrará unos US$ 70 millones.

El pabellón del Perú contará con 2 500 m2 de área construida distribuidas en cuatro pisos, y contará con salas para hacer negocios y restaurante para promocionar nuestra gastronomía. Su implementación estuvo a cargo de PROMPERÚ.

OPORTUNIDAD PARA EMPRESAS PERUANAS
El ministro de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Roberto Sánchez, ha señalado que, la participación nacional en Expo Dubái 2020, va en línea con los intereses del Gobierno: lograr un turismo y comercio exterior sostenible y descentralizado, que se traduzca en beneficios y oportunidades para todos los peruanos.

“El pabellón peruano será un espacio para que nuestros empresarios turísticos y exportadores, el 80% de ellos pymes de todo el país, puedan promover destinos turísticos únicos o insumos exportables, como la fibra de alpaca, algodón, superalimentos, y así iniciar o potenciar su proceso de internacionalización. Reconocidos chefs, artesanos y músicos harán lo propio para dejar el nombre del Perú en alto”, señaló.

En la Expo Dubái 2020, se realizarán ruedas de negocios, encuentros comerciales, reuniones de coordinación, activaciones gastronómicas y culturales. En ese marco, se llevará a cabo también el foro Perú Moda y Perú Natura – Dubái, la Expo Perú Alimentos y Bebidas, la rueda de negocios de productos de decoración y artículos de hotelería para el sector Horeca (hoteles y restaurantes), entre otras actividades.

Cabe resaltar que la participación del Perú en este acontecimiento internacional ha sido posible gracias, además, al trabajo del comité multisectorial creado para este fin, al compromiso de talentosos peruanos y a las empresas que están apostando por este gran evento, tales como DP World, Pisco 1615 y Flo Trading, que se convirtieron en los primeros auspiciadores.

PABELLÓN PERUANO Y SU DENOMINACIÓN “TIMELESS PERU”
El pabellón peruano, tendrá un nombre cuyo concepto sera denominado como Timeless Peru (‘Perú eterno’ o ‘Perú atemporal’). Precisamente, a través de este mensaje, la muestra peruana ofrecerá una experiencia sensorial a través de nuestro legado histórico y culinario, en un pabellón que tendrá una lliclla gigante en la fachada y al que se accederá a través de una réplica del último puente inca: el Q’eswachaka.

El pabellón peruano estará estratégicamente ubicado en la zona ‘Movilidad’ de la Expo, en un espacio de gran flujo de público que garantizará una alta cantidad de visitantes durante los seis meses que durará el evento.

SOBRE LA FERIA DUBAI 2020
1.- Expo Dubái 2020 es la primera exposición realizada en Medio Oriente y es organizada por el Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), entidad intergubernamental con sede en París. Se estima la participación de organizaciones internacionales y civiles, empresas y más de 190 países. Se espera la afluencia de 15 millones de asistentes.

2.- En el marco de la Expo 2020 Dubái, se realizará la premiación de los World Travel Awards edición Sudamérica, donde nuestro país está nominado en numerosas categorías. Es una ocasión propicia para dar a conocer nuestros principales destinos turísticos.

3.- Emiratos Árabes ocupa el quinto lugar en envíos peruanos a Asia, por detrás de China, Corea del Sur, Japón e India. En 2020, las exportaciones no tradicionales al gigante del Medio Oriente crecieron un 6.1% en comparación al 2019.
