Durante su visita a la ciudad imperial, el doctor Carhuapoma Yance llegó hasta el vacunatorio que EsSalud ha implementado en la sede de la Universidad San Antonio Abad de Cusco (UNSAAC), donde se continúa inmunizando a niños, adolescentes y jóvenes de hasta 19 años.

El titular de EsSalud felicitó a niños y adolescentes por participar en esta jornada de vacunación contra el Covid-19 e instó a los padres de familia a confiar en la vacuna.

“En Cusco ya iniciamos la vacunación a niños mayores de 12 años, eso es importante porque en poco tiempo recibirán sus clases presenciales o semipresenciales, además nuestros maestros ya están vacunados. Es importante la vacunación porque va a permitir que no solo la economía empiece a reactivarse, sino también el turismo. No hay que olvidar que Cusco vive principalmente del turismo”, manifestó.

El funcionario exhortó a la población a seguir cumpliendo con las medidas de bioseguridad para evitar la propagación del virus como el uso correcto de la doble mascarilla, el lavado frecuente de manos y el distanciamiento social.

Previamente, el presidente del Seguro Social de Salud puso en funcionamiento en el hospital Adolfo Guevara dos plantas de oxígeno medicinal y un moderno tomógrafo de 128 cortes para la atención oportuna de pacientes que padecen la Covid-19, ante una eventual tercera ola de contagios.
