Desde el lugar, expresó la voluntad del gobierno de trabajar para que la población afectada sienta que el Estado está con ellos.
La premier estuvo acompañada por los ministros de Desarrollo Agrario y Riego, Víctor Maita Frisancho; de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Anahí Durand; del Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Roberto Sánchez Palomino, así como, por el comandante general del Ejército, General de División de Ejército, Walter Córdova Alemán.
La comitiva, también estuvo conformada por la viceministra de Transportes, Fabiola Caballero Sifuentes, el presidente ejecutivo de Essalud, Mario Carhuapoma, el director ejecutivo de la Asociación Hombro a Hombro, Juan Manuel Arribas; así como, representantes del Ministerio de Cultura, Ministerio de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, Indeci y de la organización civil Hombro a Hombro.
En las zonas afectadas, la premier y los titulares de las diferentes carteras anotaron todas las demandas de la población para atender las grandes necesidades tras el sismo. “Queremos que sientan a ese Estado aquí, cerca de ustedes, y que se preocupa por ustedes, así que tomamos nota de sus principales requerimientos”, afirmó la jefa del Gabinete.
Enfatizó que, por muchos años el Estado peruano olvidó a las comunidades de estas zonas del país. “Hemos hablado con sus autoridades, quienes nos ha informado no solo lo que ha sucedido a partir del sismo, sino también todos los requerimientos que tienen y que por muchos años no han sido atendidos”, indicó la premier.
Agregó que, a partir de mañana, diversos equipos de especialistas de los diferentes sectores acudirán a la zona para atender las demandas y necesidades urgentes de la población.
Cabe precisar que, la premier Mirtha Vásquez junto a la comitiva, llegó a la localidad de Santa María de Nieva, donde se reunieron con las autoridades locales. Asimismo, sobrevolaron las zonas afectadas por el sismo de gran magnitud para evaluar los daños y atender a la brevedad a las poblaciones damnificadas.
EVALUACIÓN DE DAÑOS
Desde horas de la mañana, la premier Mirtha Vásquez convocó a ministros de Estado al Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia Nacional (COEN) con el fin de coordinar las acciones para brindar asistencia a las regiones afectadas por el sismo, reunión que estuvo liderada por el presidente Pedro Castillo.
El presidente Castillo se dirigió personalmente junto a los ministros de Defensa, Transportes y Comunicaciones y Vivienda a las localidades más afectadas por el sismo en Amazonas, para coordinar in situ la atención de los damnificados.
“Nuestra preocupación y máxima atención está puesta en Amazonas y las zonas afectadas por el reciente sismo. Por disposición del presidente Pedro Castillo, estamos gestionando acciones del gobierno”, expresó Vásquez Chuquilín al término de la reunión.
En el COEN, también se realizó una reunión virtual con los gobernadores de las cinco regiones afectadas por el fuerte sismo (Amazonas, Loreto, Cajamarca, San Martín y Lambayeque), con quienes se coordinó la ayuda humanitaria que se requiera en las diferentes localidades.
Respecto al pedido de declaratoria de emergencia en algunas zonas, la titular de la PCM dio a conocer que la medida está siendo evaluada, siempre y cuando sea necesaria para facilitar la atención a las familias que están necesitando ayuda y que, por el bloqueo de vías, se complique la comunicación.
Cabe precisar que el sector Transporte y Comunicaciones informó que, a través de Provias Nacional, se está haciendo las acciones respectivas para habilitar las carreteras que han sido bloqueadas debido a los deslizamientos tras el sismo. Algunos tramos serán habilitados en algunas horas; mientras que otros podrán tomar algunos días, de acuerdo a la magnitud del daño.

He added that, starting tomorrow, various teams of specialists from different sectors will come to the area to meet the urgent demands and needs of the population.

DAMAGE ASSESSMENT

It should be noted that the Transportation and Communications sector reported that, through Provias Nacional, the respective actions are being carried out to enable the roads that have been blocked due to landslides after the earthquake. Some sections will be enabled in a few hours; while others may take a few days, depending on the magnitude of the damage.
