La directora de la oficina d recursos humanos del despecho presidencial, informó que la profesional cumple con los requisitos previstos en el clasificador de cargos aprobado por el supremo gobierno.
Palacio de gobierno informó que se procedió conforme al artículo 3 de la Ley N° 27594, Ley que regula la participación del Poder Ejecutivo en el nombramiento y designación de funcionarios públicos, y el literal I) del artículo 13 del reglamento de organización y funciones del despecho presidencial, aprobado por D.S. N° 077-2016-PCM, modificado por D.S. N° 037-2017-PCM, y el clasificador de cargos del despacho presidencial, aprobado mediante resolución de secretaria general N°047-2021-DP/SG.
La designación de Romelia Kethy Vásquez Aguirre como secretaria de comunicación Estratégica y Prensa del Despacho Presidencial, se basa en parte a la trayectoria profesional de la referida funcionaria, que es egresada de periodismo de la Universidad Jaime Bausate y Mesa, luego cuenta con una Maestría en Gestión Pública en Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL).
En el ámbito laboral se ha desempeñado como Jefa de Prensa e Imagen en Cofopri, del mismo modo ha sido Jefa de Comunicaciones en el Ministerio del Interior (MININTER), posteriormente ha sido periodista de la Presidencia del Consejo de Ministros (PCM), también laboró como periodista en IRTP Instituto de Radio y Televisión del Perú, y como asesora de prensa e imagen en Congreso de la República del Perú
