“Las relaciones bilaterales, el ámbito diplomático y los de interés comercial en beneficio de todos los peruanos se fortalecen con este tipo de eventos”, indicó tras participar en el evento más importante de Oriente por la amplia variedad de exposiciones comerciales y de volumen de negocios de la potencia asiática.

Durante su discurso de inauguración que se realizó de manera virtual, el mandatario manifestó su firme voluntad para seguir fortaleciendo las relaciones económicas comerciales, estrechando los lazos de amistad entre ambos países.

El jefe de Estado expuso sobre la importancia que tiene China como el principal socio comercial del Perú, comercio bilateral que el año pasado, ascendió a más de $22 000 millones, impulsado por las exportaciones peruanas a territorio chino con un total de $12 500 millones, es decir, una balanza con superávit a favor de nuestro país.

El jefe de Estado remarcó que, gracias al comercio internacional con China, se nos permite no solo generar mayores oportunidades de crecimiento económico sino mejoras en la calidad de vida de nuestra población. De la misma manera, según dijo, este es un evento de importante acogida para compartir conocimientos, tecnología, y cultura.

En ese sentido, remarcó que, pese a la pandemia, en el primer semestre del año, se observó una recuperación de los flujos comerciales que llegaron a $14 500 millones, lo que representó un crecimiento del 75 % respecto del mismo periodo en el 2020, promovido principalmente por mayores envíos peruanos de los rubros pesquero, minero y agroindustriales.

Esta importante invitación al presidente Pedro Castillo fue realizada por el primer ministro de la República Popular de China, Li Keqiang, acto que fue considerado como un honor para el Perú, entendiendo la relevancia de la monumental feria china ante los ojos del mundo.

Como se recuerda la también llamada Feria de Cantón tiene por objeto mejorar la conexión comercial entre China y el mundo, en especial con Perú.
