“Me enorgullece, como Jefe Supremo de las Fuerzas Armadas, la calidad de los cuadros de profesionales que tenemos, son garantía de la defensa del país, dentro del orden democrático” remarcó durante su discurso por el Día de las FF.AA. en la Plaza de la Bandera en el distrito de Pueblo Libre.
Acompañado del ministro de Defensa, Walter Ayala, y el jefe del Comando Conjunto de las Fuerzas Armadas Jesús Martín Gómez de la Torre Araníbar, la Presidenta del Poder Judicial Elvia Barrios y otras autoridades, el mandatario mostró su reconocimiento de la institución al señalar el sacrificio que hacen por defender las fronteras del país y su permanente lucha contra el terrorismo.
Su sacrificio en las luchas del Perú, por defender nuestras fronteras y por luchar contra el terrorismo, nos habla de instituciones valerosas, honrosas, que son capaces de revertir situaciones adversas y convertirlas en triunfos; porque son gran parte que sostiene la autoestima, gloria e institucionalidad del país”, precisó.
En otro momento sostuvo que fueron precisamente las Fuerzas Armadas quienes fueron el bloque unido y brazo amigo de los pueblos más necesitados para enfrentar también al Covid 19.
“Cuando la pandemia del Covid 19 sacudió al Perú, ese bloque unido, que son nuestras Fuerzas Armadas, también salieron a hacer frente con su orden, disciplina y su desprendimiento. Su esfuerzo ha valido la pena, porque han salvado vidas, exponiendo las suyas, precisó.
Finalmente dijo que no existe un lugar del país donde no se sienta su trabajo y eficiencia pese a las dificultades. “La historia de las Fuerzas Armadas, es en gran parte, la historia del Perú. No existe un lugar del país donde su presencia no deje de sentirse, ni una tarea que no cumplan con eficiencia, a pesar de las dificultades propias de la distancia, el tiempo o las carencias”, subrayó.
