We hope that parliament will approve the 2022 budget that prioritizes works throughout Peru, said President Pedro Castillo.

Peruvian News Agency PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe The President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo said today that his Government will make every effort to eliminate the State bureaucracy to expedite the projects and works that the country needs, this was stated during a meeting with the authorities of the San Martín region in the city of Tarapoto.

He revealed that in the last Council of Ministers there was consensus to work together in order to accelerate the requirements of the municipal authorities of the country, in order to activate and reactivate the works necessary to improve the quality of life of the population.

Before dozens of mayors, he emphasized that decentralization must not only come from the side of the Executive, it must be strengthened from the Parliament.

In this context, he regretted, for example, that the actions of the weeks of representation that parliamentarians carry out are often not scheduled, so the local or regional authority perceives that little or nothing progress was made in these monthly meetings.

“Let’s end the bureaucracy from Congress, gentlemen, congressmen. I believe that San Martín and the rest of the regions expect a unity from their authorities. In that sense, I believe that a real report would speed up the budgets for the mayors who knock on the doors of the ministries every day ”, he pointed out.

He expressed that in the short term they will go to the Congress of the Republic to support the draft Budget Law 2022, and trusts that Parliament will authorize the prioritization of works throughout the country.

He added that the Executive will make an exhaustive effort to detect and punish bad officials within the state apparatus. He rejected any act of corruption that occurs from any part of the State, in relation to the requests of the mayors.

“We must punish the people who are grabbing the files and do not give way for our mayors to have the opportunity to serve their people. The money is there, but due to internal situations it is paralyzed, “he said.

The president announced that the governor of San Martín, Pedro Bogarin, confirmed his visit tomorrow from 3:00 p.m. to the Government Palace to coordinate the progress of the works in the districts and provinces of the region. He asserted that the Palace doors are open to all the mayors and governors of the country.
