Gira Presidencial, presidente Pedro Castillo y su par de Colombia Iván Duque, lideran VI Gabinete Binacional de Ministros.

Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe El jefe del Estado, Pedro Castillo, participará hoy en el Encuentro Presidencial y la VI Reunión del Gabinete Binacional de Ministros Perú-Colombia, junto con el mandatario de ese país, Iván Duque, en la ciudad colombiana de Villa de Leyva, departamento de Boyacá.

Con tal propósito, el mandatario viajó esta mañana a Colombia, acompañado por la presidenta del Consejo de Ministros, Mirtha Vásquez; y siete integrantes del Gabinete Ministerial, tras recibir la autorización del Congreso de la República para salir del país.

El Encuentro Presidencial y el Gabinete Binacional de Ministros Perú-Colombia constituyen la máxima instancia de diálogo y coordinación política entre los dos países, que desarrollan su trabajo en cinco ejes temáticos: Asuntos sociales y gobernanza; Asuntos ambientales y minero-energéticos; Comercio, desarrollo económico y turismo; Seguridad y defensa; y Asuntos fronterizos y migratorios.

Durante un encuentro que sostuvieron el 28 de julio pasado, ambos gobernantes acordaron realizar el Encuentro Presidencial y la VI Reunión del Gabinete Binacional de Ministros en cuanto sea posible, tras su suspensión por la pandemia de la COVID-19.

En el marco de la VI Reunión del Gabinete Binacional, los ministros de Perú y Colombia presentan de manera conjunta a los presidentes un Plan de Acción que recoge las políticas públicas en temas de interés común.

Luego de la reunión, los mandatarios tienen previsto firmar una declaración presidencial y presenciarán la suscripción de instrumentos bilaterales en diversos aspectos.

A la fecha, entre Perú y Colombia se han realizado cinco Encuentros Presidenciales y Gabinetes Binacionales, conforme al siguiente detalle: en Iquitos el 30 de septiembre de 2014, en Medellín el 30 de octubre de 2015, en Arequipa el 27 de enero de 2017, en Cartagena el 27 de febrero de 2018 y en Pucallpa el 27 de agosto de 2019.

Perú y Colombia mantienen una relación bilateral de alto nivel y cuentan, además, con mecanismos para tratar los temas de mutuo interés y diseñar acciones conjuntas en favor del desarrollo fronterizo, la defensa y seguridad, la migración, las inversiones y el comercio.

During a meeting held on July 28, both leaders agreed to hold the Presidential Meeting and the VI Meeting of the Binational Cabinet of Ministers as soon as possible, after its suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the framework of the VI Meeting of the Binational Cabinet, the ministers of Peru and Colombia jointly present to the presidents an Action Plan that includes public policies on issues of common interest.

After the meeting, the presidents plan to sign a presidential declaration and will witness the signing of bilateral instruments in various aspects.

To date, between Peru and Colombia there have been five Presidential Meetings and Binational Cabinets, according to the following detail: in Iquitos on September 30, 2014, in Medellín on October 30, 2015, in Arequipa on January 27, 2017, in Cartagena on February 27, 2018 and in Pucallpa on August 27, 2019.
