En el acto protocolar realizado en la plazuela que lleva su nombre asistieron la premier Violeta Bermúdez, y las ministras de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Silvia Loli; de Defensa, Nuria Esparch; de Comercio Exterior y Turismo, Claudia Cornejo; de Desarrollo e Inclusión Social, Silvana Vargas; y de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, Solangel Fernández. También estuvieron presentes el gobernador Regional de Ayacucho, Carlos Rúa; el alcalde provincial de Huamanga, Yuri Gutiérrez, entre otras autoridades regionales, municipales, así como de las Fuerzas Armadas y de la PNP.

La titular del portafolio de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, Silvia Loli, destacó a María Parado Jayo de Bellido, como una mujer que aportó mucho por nuestra independencia, la cual esta cerca a cumplir 200 años.
