Agencia Peruana de Noticias PRENSAPERU.PE https://prensaperu.pe Twitter: @prensaperupe La titular del Poder Judicial, Elvia Barrios Alvarado, tomó juramento esta mañana al economista Julio Emilio Velarde Flores como presidente del directorio del Banco Central de Reserva del Perú (BCRP) en una ceremonia realizada en el Salón de Juramentos del Palacio de Justicia.
Velarde Flores fue ratificado en el mencionado cargo mediante Resolución Suprema N°148-2021-PCM, el cual está desempeñando desde el mes de octubre del 2006.
Asimismo, juramentaron ante la autoridad judicial los directores Roxana Barrantes Cáceres, José Ignacio Távara Martín y Germán Alarco Tosoni, quienes fueron designados mediante Resolución Suprema N° 149-2021-PCM.
Al acto protocolar asistieron el ministro de Economía y Finanzas, Pedro Francke Ballvé; los integrantes del Consejo Ejecutivo del Poder Judicial, Héctor Lama More, Gustavo Álvarez Trujillo y Vicente Espinoza Santilllán; la jefa de la Oficina de Control de la Magistratura, Mariem De La Rosa Bedriñana, funcionarios del BCR, del Poder Judicial y familiares más cercanos.
Tras la ceremonia, Velarde Flores, Barrantes Cáceres, Távara Martín y Alarco Tosoni recibieron el saludo de los funcionarios e invitados que asistieron al acto.
De acuerdo con el artículo 86 de la Constitución Política, el presidente y los directores del BCRP son designados por el presidente de la República por un periodo de cinco años.
De igual modo, el artículo 14 de la Ley Orgánica del BCRP señala que el presidente, directores y gerente general de este organismo juramentan ante la Corte Suprema de Justicia.
