Más de 55 mil asegurados del Hospital Selva Central y Enfermedades Tropicales se beneficiarán con dos nuevas plantas de oxígeno.

Como parte de la lucha contra el Covid-19, este último martes 7 de setiembre se inauguraron 02 plantas de oxígeno medicinal, ubicada en el Hospital Selva Central y Enfermedades Tropicales Hugo Pesce Pescetto, que beneficiarán a más de 55 mil asegurados, entre Covid y No Covid, de la región Junín.

Estas infraestructuras, de 22 m3 cada una y que producirán cerca de 100 balones de oxígeno, fueron puestas en marcha en presencia del presidente de EsSalud, Dr. Mario Carhuapoma Yance y de la primera dama de la Nación, Lilia Paredes.

El titular de EsSalud sostuvo que con la incorporación de las 02 plantas, no solo se beneficiarán los ciudadanos de La Merced, que tiene una población adscrita de 26 mil asegurados, sino también las personas de Chanchamayo, Tarma, Satipo, Río Negro y Oxapampa.

Así como, los de Villa Rica, Puerto Bermúdez, Perené, San Luis de Shuaro, Pozuzo, San Ramón, Pichanaki, Marankiari, Kivinaki y toda la selva central, que en total son más de 55 mil asegurados.

“Yo quiero agradecer a la Red Asistencial Junín de EsSalud por el recibimiento y también por todo lo que se ha logrado en beneficio de todos nuestros asegurados. Nos seguiremos preparando para una eventual tercera ola y esta planta de oxígeno, que hoy se pone en funcionamiento, es una muestra de ello”, puntualizó.

En tanto, la primera dama de la Nación, Lilia Paredes, señaló lo siguiente: “Quiero agradecer el recibimiento y a Dios porque sin él no somos nada. Saludo a todas las autoridades y en representación de mi esposo (Pedro Castillo) quiero referirme a todos los trabajadores del hospital, quiero agradecerles ya que es una gran labor que realizan los médicos, entre otros profesionales, gracias por poner el hombro y salvar vidas”.

RECORRIDO AL HOSPITAL SELVA CENTRAL Y ENFERMEDADES
Asimismo, junto al gerente de la Red Asistencial Junín, Dr. Miguel Emilio Arévalo Vila y al director del Hospital I Selva Central y Enfermedades Tropicales “Hugo Pesce Pescetto”, Dr. Mariano Montoya; recorrieron las diversas instalaciones del mencionado establecimiento, donde se atienden pacientes Covid y No Covid.

Durante su discurso, el jefe de EsSalud indicó que, en las próximas semanas, se implementará nuevas camas UCI y de hospitalización para fortalecer las acciones ante una eventual tercera ola. Actualmente, solo hay 25 camas en total.

Este hospital cuenta con más de 160 profesionales de la salud, entre médicos, enfermeras, técnicos en enfermería, farmacéuticos, personal administrativo y más. Además, cuenta con los servicios de consulta externa en medicina general, medicina interna, gastroenterología.

También, cirugía general, traumatología, otorrinolaringología, ginecología y odontología. Asimismo, cuenta con los servicios no médicos que son psicología, nutrición, obstetricia, enfermería, terapia de lenguaje, terapia y rehabilitación.

“Actualmente se atiende en consulta externa en un promedio de más de mil pacientes mensuales, más de 800 en telenconsultas, más de 150 en telemonitoreo y en teleorientación”, señaló el gerente de la Red Asistencial Junín, Dr. Miguel Emilio Arévalo.

Es necesario precisar que, este hospital es considerado el más moderno de la selva central y es el principal centro de referencia de la seguridad social, gracias a que cuenta con todas las especialidades médicas y está equipado con moderna tecnología de diagnóstico y tratamiento.

Finalizando el recorrido, el titular de EsSalud, Dr. Carhuapoma Yance, indicó que seguirá trabajando en beneficio de todos los asegurados y no asegurados ya que la salud es un derecho que debe primar. Además, detalló que la labor continuará realizándose sin actos de corrupción y que no temerá separar a funcionarios que no se alineen a esta principal idea.

“Quiero pedirles a las autoridades de la Red Junín a seguir trabajando y manejar con inteligencia los recursos de los asegurados, todos los bienes y recursos de EsSalud, no solo es de la institución, sino también de los asegurados; por lo tanto, hay que trabajar con eficiencia para maximizar estos recursos e ahí la lucha contra la corrupción porque esto nos hace daño, la corrupción genera debilitamiento institucional, ni un centavo puede ir a otros fines. Por eso, pido que se optimice los recursos y sigamos trabajando”, puntualizó.
