Más de 7 mil bomberos reciben este sábado y domingo tercera dosis de refuerzo de la vacuna contra la Covid-19.

La primera jornada de vacunación se realiza en horario corrido, de 7 de la mañana del sábado 13 hasta las 7 de la noche del domingo 14 de noviembre, en los vacunatorios de EsSalud, ubicados en Lima y Callao.

En esta oportunidad, serán inmunizados cerca de 2,572 hombres de rojo, de un total de 7 mil que prestan servicio en la capital y que están debidamente registrados en el padrón de vacunación que registra cada compañía del Cuerpo General de Bomberos Voluntarios del Perú, informó el doctor Martín Tito, vocero de EsSalud.

Hasta el vacunatorio Playa Miller, en Jesús María, llegó un grupo de bomberos para recibir la dosis de refuerzo que los protege del mortal coronavirus. El proceso se desarrolla de manera ordenada y siguiendo los protocolos de bioseguridad.

“De acuerdo al protocolo, estamos aplicando la dosis de refuerzo a los bomberos que tienen la vacuna completa y que haya transcurrido 6 meses, como mínimo, de haber recibido la segunda dosis”, explicó el representante del Seguro Social.

En el proceso de vacunación, también participó el brigadier Saúl Tokuda, miembro del Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios del Perú, quien destacó que tras la aplicación de la vacuna se redujo en más del 90% los casos graves de covid en su institución.

“A lo largo de la pandemia registramos 3064 casos y 62 decesos. Luego de la vacuna no tenemos bomberos hospitalizados en UCI por cuadros graves de coronavirus. Esta tercera dosis nos permite tener una mayor protección para desarrollar nuestra labor al servicio de la comunidad”, manifestó.

PUNTOS DE VACUNACIÓN
Además de Playa Miller, los bomberos pueden recibir sus dosis de refuerzo en los centros de vacunación Aljovín, San Isidro Labrador, Real Felipe, Plaza Norte, los polideportivos San Borja y San Isidro, así como en el estadio Municipal de Surquillo y el Estadio Monumental.

También se habilitó el vacunatorio del Parque de Las Leyendas, en San Miguel, que atiende de 7 a.m. a 4 p.m.

El presidente ejecutivo de EsSalud, Mario Carhuapoma, resaltó que su institución viene impulsando las diferentes campañas de vacunación contra la COVID-19 a nivel nacional para contribuir en la meta del Gobierno de vacunar al 100% de la población objetivo.
