Destacaron las partidas los demás medicamentos para uso veterinario (34.4% del total), demás medicamentos que contengan vitaminas (27.8%) y medicamentos que contengan otros antibióticos (27.7%).
En el periodo ya mencionado del 2021, los envíos llegaron a 39 países, entre los que destacaron Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Nicaragua, Honduras, México y Guatemala. Las empresas exportadoras sumaron 26.
MERCADO MUNDIAL
En el 2020, el mercado mundial de medicamentos para uso veterinario se situó en US$ 427 mil 910 millones 600 mil, lo que representó un crecimiento de 4.8% respecto al 2019. El principal comprador fue EE.UU. al concentrar el 18.6% del total (US$ 79 mil 699 millones), seguido de Alemania (US$ 33 mil 631 millones) y Suiza (US$ 26 mil 009 millones).
Suiza fue el más dinámico al registrar un alza de 22.9% en valor y 8.6% en volumen. Caso contrario, Rusia y Brasil, registraron contracciones de -28.3% y -10.2% de forma respectiva, en relación al año anterior.
Por su parte, Alemania fue el principal proveedor con el 14.9% del total, equivalente a US$ 58 mil 191 millones 700 mil, monto que significó un incremento de 7.2%. Suiza se posicionó como el segundo con el 12.3% (US$ 48 mil 043 millones 900 mil), seguido de Bélgica (US$ 31 mil 270 millones 300 mil).
Como abastecedor, Perú se posicionó en el puesto N° 77 a nivel mundial, registrando una participación de 0.01%; y en el puesto N° 10 a nivel de América Latina, por debajo de países como Chile y Uruguay, presentando una participación de 1.2%.
CIFRAS ANUALES
En el 2020, las exportaciones peruanas de medicamentos para uso veterinario sumaron US$
22 millones 600 mil, 6.5% más en relación al 2019. Se dirigieron fundamentalmente a América del Sur con el 51.1% del total, seguida de América Central (33.2%) y América del Norte (8.1%).
Bolivia fue el principal destino con US$ 4 millones 800 mil (21.1% del total), seguido de Ecuador (US$ 3 millones 3 mil) y Colombia (US$ 2 millones 3 mil). Si bien los montos son reducidos aún resaltó el dinamismo de Chile (5,569.8%), Emiratos Árabes Unidos (1,285.8%) y Cuba (666.7%).
En el 2020, un total de 25 empresas despacharon medicamentos para uso veterinario a 45 mercados, 2 menos que el año anterior. Agrovet Market S.A fue la líder con US$ 9 millones 400 mil (41.8% del total). Laboratorios Biomont S.A se posicionó en el segundo lugar con US$ 2 millones 600 mil, seguida de Ilender Perú con US$ 2 millones 300 mil).
IMPORTACIONES
Entre el 2016 y 2020, la importación de medicamentos de uso veterinario se incrementó en un promedio anual de 4.8%, compuestos principalmente por aquellos que contienen hormonas corticosuprarrenales (23.3% promedio anual) y demás medicamentos constituidos por productos mezclados entre sí (16.2% promedio anual).
En el 2020, las importaciones peruanas de esos productos se situaron en US$ 66 millones 400 mil, lo que representó una caída de 12% respecto al año anterior. En la categoría de las demás vacunas para la medicina veterinaria, destacó la participación de Circumvent (prevención de virus), Innovax (control de enfermedades) y Nobilis (inactivador de bronquitis).
EE.UU. fue el principal proveedor con US$ 18 millones 100 mil (27.3% del total), seguido de Brasil con US$ 6 millones 500 mil (9.8% del total) y Países Bajos con US$ 5 millones 900 mil (8.9% del total). En el 2020 un total de 129 empresas nacionales demandaron medicamentos para uso veterinario de 38 naciones.
