“De conformidad con lo establecido en el tercer párrafo del artículo 8 del Reglamento del Congreso de la República, se comunica que, según la información publicada y comunicada por el Jurado Nacional de Elecciones (JNE) sobre los resultados de las elecciones generales del 11 de abril de 2021, el congresista electo Bernardo Jaime Quito Sarmiento es quien ha obtenido la mayor votación preferencial del grupo político que obtuvo la mayor votación. Asimismo, luego de la revisión de los documentos nacionales de identidad obtenidos por la Oficialía Mayor del Congreso se concluye que los congresistas electos Enrique Wong Pujada y Rosangella Andrea Barbarán Reyes, son los de mayor y menor edad, respectivamente”.

En ese sentido, la Mesa Directiva de la Junta Preparatoria estará integrada por el congresista electo Quito Sarmiento, quien la presidirá, y los congresistas electos Wong Pujada y Barbarán Reyes quienes actuarán, en su orden, como primer y segunda secretaria.

El comunicado es suscrito por el oficial mayor del Congreso, Yon Javier Pérez Paredes.

Cabe indicar que según el artículo 8 del Reglamento, la Mesa Directiva de la Junta Preparatoria entrará en funciones entre el 15 de julio y el 21 de julio

“El presidente de la Junta Preparatoria coordina con el presidente del Congreso para que los trabajos de los órganos que presiden no obstaculicen las funciones de uno y otro. En caso de diferencia, prima la decisión del presidente del Congreso, quien en todo momento dará facilidades suficientes para que se reúna y cumpla sus funciones la Junta Preparatoria”, precisa el Reglamento.
