El titular del Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC), Eduardo González, participó en la ceremonia de entrega de cartas de adjudicación para la ejecución y supervisión de las obras principales de dicho aeropuerto, que se desarrolla mediante un contrato de Estado a Estado con el Gobierno de Corea, en la provincia de Urubamba, región Cusco.

En compañía del Gobernador del Cusco, Jean Paul Benavente, el embajador de Corea, Yungjoon Jo, y el viceministro de Transportes, Paul Caiguaray, el ministro González destacó la importancia del aeropuerto para el desarrollo de la región del Cusco y el país, así como el compromiso del estado peruano para continuar con su ejecución.

En conjunto, la infraestructura aeroportuaria demandará una inversión de US$ 427 millones, incluyendo el terminal de pasajeros, que será ocho veces más grande que el actual aeropuerto de Cusco, y deberá ejecutarse en 47 meses.

CONSORCIOS GANADORES
Los procesos de selección, realizados mediante Concurso Público Internacional, estuvieron a cargo de la Oficina de Gestión de Proyectos (PMO por sus siglas en inglés) y contaron con la participación de empresas internacionales de Corea, Japón, China, España, Italia, México, Colombia, Costa Rica, entre otros países.

Entre los criterios de evaluación se consideraron lineamientos desarrollados por Bancos Multilaterales de Desarrollo, con el objetivo de mejorar la transparencia y la integridad del proceso. Además, se utilizó una metodología de selección basada en calidad y costo, que otorga a todos los involucrados transparencia, competencia, eficiencia y calidad en la selección y contratación.

El Consorcio AICC, que se encargará de la supervisión de estas obras, está conformado por las empresas: 1) GHESA Ingeniería y Tecnología, 2) EPTISA Servicios de Ingeniería, 3) TEC-CUATRO S.A. y 4) AIRIA Ingeniería y Servicios S.A.

Mientras tanto, el Consorcio Natividad de Chinchero, que se encargará de la ejecución, está conformado por las empresas: 1) Hyundai Engineering & Construction CO. LTD. (Corea), 2) Sinohydro Corporation Limited (China), 3) ICA Constructora S.A de C.V. (México) y 4) HV Contratistas (Perú).

Among the evaluation criteria, guidelines developed by Multilateral Development Banks were considered, with the objective of improving the transparency and integrity of the process. In addition, a selection methodology based on quality and cost was used, which gives all those involved transparency, competence, efficiency and quality in the selection and contracting.
