Asimismo, se lo autoriza a asistir al Debate General de Alto Nivel de la 76.° Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas de América en la ciudad de Nueva York en los Estados Unidos; y a una presentación ante el Consejo Permanente de la Organización de los Estados Americanos en la ciudad de Washington D. C., entre otras actividades oficiales.
Según refiere la resolución legislativa, el objetivo es abordar el nuevo impulso otorgado por el Gobierno a la recuperación económica para la superación de la exclusión social y la lucha contra la pandemia de la COVID-19.
La propuesta contó con 119 votos a favor y no requirió de debate ni tampoco de una segunda votación.
En el oficio N.° 568-2021-PR, que acompaña la propuesta de resolución legislativa, el mandatario Pedro Castillo Terrones sostiene que la referida gira “tendrá como propósito reafirmar el compromiso del Perú con el sistema multilateral y asegurar, en el futuro, una mejor concertación de esfuerzos globales en la lucha contra la pandemia de la COVID-19 y garantizar recursos del sistema internacional para la recuperación económica de nuestro país”.
El documento en mención también lleva la firma del presidente del Consejo de Ministros, Guido Bellido Ugarte.
