De esta manera, los especialistas de la Asociación de Emprendedores de Perú (ASEP) imparten sesiones de entrenamiento para fortalecer las habilidades digitales de emprendedores y mipymes en el uso de WhatsApp Business, la versión de la aplicación de mensajería gratuita especialmente diseñada para pequeños comercios.

“Desde la Secretaría de Gobierno y Transformación Digital impulsamos los emprendimientos con base en tecnologías digitales y emergentes para el desarrollo de la economía digital y el comercio electrónico en el país. En el marco del Laboratorio de Gobierno y Transformación Digital, presentamos este esfuerzo público-privado en favor del emprendimiento digital y del desarrollo económico local e internacional”, sostuvo Marushka Chocobar, secretaria de Gobierno y Transformación Digital de la PCM.

Por su parte, Paloma Szerman, gerente de Políticas Públicas para WhatsApp en América Latina, recordó que el sector de los pequeños comercios fue uno de los más afectados tras las restricciones sanitarias por la pandemia de la COVID-19. Por ello, precisó, es fundamental el trabajo articulado con la Secretaria de Gobierno y Transformación Digital de la PCM para acercar los negocios a herramientas tecnológicas gratuitas como WhatsApp Business y así contribuir a la recuperación económica.

Esta iniciativa es impulsada en el marco de las acciones del Laboratorio de Gobierno y Transformación Digital y la Política Nacional de Transformación Digital. Además, se trata de un esfuerzo realizado junto al Ministerio de la Producción (Produce), WhatsApp, la Asociación de Emprendedores de Perú (ASEP) y la Asociación de Emprendedores de Latinoamérica (ASELA), para impulsar la reactivación económica y la transformación digital de las mipymes.
