Ante más de 300 dirigentes y trabajadores sindicales, afirmó que se aplicaron normas represivas contra los dirigentes para acallar sus voces. En ese sentido, solicitó al ministro de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo, Iber Maraví, “que de una vez por todas, esas leyes represivas contra las masas que van a reclamar derechos laborales, sean eliminadas”.
En ese contexto, el mandatario enfatizó que se debe coordinar una agenda en común, entre el Ejecutivo y las organizaciones sindicales, para que miles de trabajadores sean tratados en igualdad de condiciones.
“Se debe hablar un solo lenguaje, una sola voz, un solo sentir. Nosotros necesitamos que los trabajadores sean tratados en igualdad de condiciones. Albañiles, agricultores, maestros, enfermeros, ingenieros, toda la clase obrera”, precisó.
Del mismo modo, señaló que durante su recorrido como sindicalista, antes de ser el jefe de Estado, encontró buenos líderes sindicales que están en el anonimato. Por esta razón, invocó a consolidar la clase obrera del país recorriendo las regiones y provincias, para no encerrarse en las dirigencias nacionales.
Comentó sobre las modalidades de contratación que aún afectan a miles de trabajadores y sostuvo que su gobierno intervendrá, a través del Ministerio de Trabajo y Promoción del Empleo – MTPE.
“Eso de la suspensión perfecta, nosotros lo hemos sentido también; el problema del CAS (Contratación Administrativa de Servicios) es una lucha que tenemos que trabajar, y desde acá no podemos permitir que esas leyes agresivas continúen. Nos vamos a comprar ese pleito”, remarcó.
“Desde el gobierno se está haciendo el esfuerzo para beneficiar a los trabajadores. No podemos entretenernos en cosas vanas, hay mucho que trabajar”, puntualizó el presidente Castillo, al mismo tiempo exhortó a los dirigentes sindicales a hacer una agenda cohesionada.
En otro momento, agradeció la reunión realizada por el MTPE y dijo esperar que la próxima reunión con las dirigencias sindicales se realice en Palacio de Gobierno.

At another time, he thanked the meeting held by the MTPE and said he hoped that the next meeting with the union leaders will be held at the Government Palace.
