Sostuvo que el 2021, ha sido un año difícil y de grandes retos para el país, marcado por la lucha contra la pandemia y por el avance en el proceso de inmunización, acciones que continuarán durante el 2022.

“Seguimos impulsado la reactivación y, gracias al esfuerzo de todos, el Estado, el sector privado, los trabajadores y la población, esperamos cerrar el año con un crecimiento económico de 13%, uno de los mayores de Latinoamérica”, refirió.

Durante su participación en la ceremonia de graduación de la promoción Bicentenario de la Escuela de Oficiales del Ejército, el jefe de Estado apuntó que este año los peruanos también se expresaron en las urnas por un cambio, compromiso que impulsará hasta el fin de su mandato, el 2026, promoviendo el diálogo con todos los sectores políticos y sociales.

El presidente Castillo afirmó que algunos de los objetivos de su gobierno para el 2022 será contener la pandemia, acelerar la recuperación económica y afianzar la institucionalidad y la gobernabilidad del país.

Con motivo de la graduación de 256 alféreces y subtenientes del Ejército, entre las cuales hay 25 mujeres, el presidente Castillo destacó el papel del Ejército en la construcción de la República, en la lucha contra el terrorismo y llevando la presencia del Estado a los lugares más alejados del país.

“Ustedes fueron los primeros en llegar a las zonas afectadas por el fuerte sismo en Amazonas, hasta donde se movilizaron más de 1,500 efectivos militares. Gracias a un trabajo conjunto con la Fuerza Aérea y el Instituto Nacional de Defensa Civil, se realizaron misiones de apoyo en siete helicópteros y seis aviones, transportando más de 2,400 pasajeros”, subrayó.

Resaltó el despliegue del Ejército en la lucha contra la pandemia, así como el trabajo de los Batallones de Ingeniería en la rehabilitación de caminos vecinales en las regiones Junín, Puno, Huánuco, Ayacucho, y en la instalación de puentes modulares en zonas de difícil acceso.

En ese marco, el mandatario anunció que el Gobierno mejorará la capacidad logística del Ejército con los proyectos Kuntur, para repotenciar las unidades acantonadas en el Fuerte Hoyos Rubio, en Lima; y Sipán, para mejorar las instalaciones de la Séptima Brigada de Infantería, en Lambayeque. Ambos significarán una inversión de 78 millones de soles.

Indicó que, en el marco del proceso de reconstrucción en el norte del país, se rehabilitaron cuatro cuarteles en Piura y Tumbes, y que se comprará un moderno hospital de campaña, para la atención inmediata a la población en situaciones de emergencia y desastres naturales.

“Debo ser enfático en señalar que la institucionalidad del Ejército y de las Fuerzas Armadas está plenamente garantizada, y debe estar fuera de cualquier duda. Nadie puede poner en tela de juicio el respeto que tenemos los peruanos a nuestras instituciones militares”, indicó.

Precisó que las Fuerzas Armadas están al servicio del país y son hoy instituciones sólidas, profesionales, respetuosas del orden constitucional y de la democracia, por lo que su Gobierno seguirá dotándolas de la máxima estabilidad.

President Castillo affirmed that some of the objectives of his government for 2022 will be to contain the pandemic, accelerate the economic recovery and strengthen the institutionality and governance of the country.
