La instalación de este isotanque se realizó a solicitud de la Dirección General de Operaciones en Salud del Ministerio de Salud y servirá para abastecer a las 48 camas del Centro de Atención y Aislamiento Temporal (CAAT) que funciona al interior del Hospital Sergio Bernales de Comas, el cual es operado por el Proyecto Legado.
En la ceremonia de entrega de estos modernos equipos estuvo presente el director ejecutivo del Proyecto Legado, Alberto Valenzuela; el viceministro de Prestaciones y Aseguramiento en Salud, Bernardo Ostos; así como el director del Hospital Sergio Bernales, Julio Silva.
“Este tanque de más de 10 toneladas de almacenamiento de oxígeno servirá para poder afrontar de manera excepcional cualquier eventualidad o una tercera ola”, afirmó Valenzuela.
En tanto que, el director del Hospital Sergio Bernales, Julio Silva, agradeció a las autoridades por la entrega de los equipos y destacó que serán muy importantes para el centro hospitalario, que tiene una amplia cobertura en Lima Norte.
Cabe indicar que, en virtud del Decreto de Urgencia 036-2021, el Gobierno le encargó al Proyecto Legado la compra e implementación de plantas generadoras de oxígeno medicinal y otros dispositivos médicos, para cubrir la demanda de este elemento vital en el contexto de la pandemia.
Hasta el momento, el Proyecto Legado ha entregado ocho plantas de oxígeno, tipo PSA, adquiridas del mercado asiático y europeo, a favor de las regiones de La Libertad, Pasco, Ucayali, San Martín, Lima Región y Lima Metropolitana.
De esta forma, el Proyecto Legado trasciende el ámbito deportivo, siendo actualmente un aliado estratégico para el sector salud, no solo en temas de abastecimiento de oxígeno, sino al haber instalado e implementado de 10 Centros de Atención y Aislamiento Temporal (CAAT) para pacientes Covid-19 a nivel nacional; y ser operador logístico de distintos centros de vacunación en la capital.

It should be noted that, by virtue of Emergency Decree 036-2021, the Government entrusted the Legacy Project with the purchase and implementation of plants that generate medicinal oxygen and other medical devices, to meet the demand for this vital element in the context of the pandemic. .
So far, the Legacy Project has delivered eight PSA-type oxygen plants, acquired from the Asian and European markets, in favor of the La Libertad, Pasco, Ucayali, San Martín, Lima Region and Metropolitan Lima regions.
In this way, the Legacy Project transcends the sports field, being currently a strategic ally for the health sector, not only in matters of oxygen supply, but also by having installed and implemented 10 Temporary Care and Isolation Centers (CAAT) for patients Covid-19 at the national level; and to be a logistics operator for different vaccination centers in the capital.
