En la antesala de la ceremonia de cambio de mando en Lima, el Mandatario se reunió con el Presidente entrante de Perú, con quien dialogó sobre la importancia de estrechar los lazos entre los dos países. Además, aceptó una invitación para acompañar a Pedro Castillo a una ceremonia de juramentación simbólica en Ayacucho este jueves.
El Presidente de la República, Sebastián Piñera, sostuvo este miércoles último una reunión con el Presidente electo de Perú, Pedro Castillo, con quien dialogó sobre la importancia de fortalecer las relaciones entre los dos países.
En el encuentro que se realizó en la ciudad de Lima antes de la ceremonia de toma de mando, el Presidente Piñera y el presidente electo Castillo dialogaron además sobre educación, salud y trabajo.
“Hemos tenido una muy buena reunión con el Presidente Castillo. Perú y Chile tenemos una historia en común, tenemos desafíos en común, pero lo más importante, tenemos un futuro a construir juntos”, declaró el Jefe de Estado tras el encuentro en la Casa Aspillaga, Centro Cultural Inca Garcilaso.
El Jefe de Estado añadió que “hemos conversado de cómo lograr que las relaciones entre Perú y Chile puedan llegar a su máxima expresión y que podamos escribir las mejores páginas de colaboración entre Perú y Chile juntos”.
El Presidente Piñera participará de la ceremonia de juramentación simbólica que se realizará hoy jueves 29 de julio en la Pampa de la Quinua, en Ayacucho.
Además de las relaciones históricas y de ser países vecinos, Chile y Perú poseen una larga e importante relación bilateral. El intercambio comercial entre ambas naciones fue de US$2.612 millones en 2020 y Perú es el segundo socio comercial de nuestro país en la región.
Las inversiones de Chile en Perú registran un incremento constante durante la última década, lo que ha hecho que este país se transforme en el segundo destino de los capitales chilenos, con un total acumulado de US$ 19.970 millones. Actualmente, existen cerca de 400 empresas chilenas que desarrollan alrededor de 800 proyectos en Perú.
